Three days had passed since Bette had sent Tina and Angelica away from her house. The two had exchanged a few messages, Bette had asked Tina about Angelica and in turn Tina had asked when Bette would go to the hospital for the check-ups after the surgery.

That morning she was finally at Lenox Hill and Tina was making the rounds as usual with Amelia.

”Bette will come for the check-up today…” Tina said softly with her hands in her pockets.

”yes, I will do a check-up MRI, even if the bleeding was under control last time.” Amelia sighed smiling a little ”last time I saw a piece of the Bette Porter I knew again you know?”

Tina nodded silently.

”what’s up?”

”it seems like everyone here knows Bette better than me, even you…and…” Tina raised an eyebrow ”I don’t think you’ve seen her naked…or have you?”

Amelia laughed loudly as usual, her tomboyish ways setting her apart.

”What?”

”Are you really curious about that, Tina?” Amelia continued to tease, earning her an eye roll. ”She was a good friend of my brother’s first wife, Tina. Derek. She and Addison went to Yale together, they’re still best friends despite being in different countries.”

”Wow, I didn’t know that…” Tina whispered ”you see, I don’t know a lot of things about her… that’s the problem…”

”you know a lot about the most difficult moment she went through, Tina… that counts a lot.” Amelia stopped her by the arm looking at her seriously ”Bette will remember that moment forever, her life back in her hands, that is an important step for her and you were there to support her.”

Tina snorted ”yes, maybe… but everything that was before… everything that she was before? I don’t know Amy, I don’t know how she behaves here in the hospital, I don’t know what her biggest flaws are, when she gets angry it’s….”

”God… she’s the devil” Amelia laughed again.

This time Amelia managed to make Tina laugh too.

”ok…”

”listen…don’t feel inadequate, you are the woman she loves. Period. Maybe yes, you are starting to have some problems as a couple…but think about it…you and Bette lived your story in her hospital room, she was sick, convalescing…how did you think she was in reality? Now it’s real life.”
