”No no…” Bette smiled sweetly ”It was a question I wanted to ask you for a while, I didn’t see any rings you know, wedding ring or anything…but at work they’re not allowed”.

Tina blushed looking at the bare hand for a second ”well…I don’t think there’s a prince for me somewhere, since I love women” this reassured Bette, she had been certain, but she and Tina had never entered into that intimate topic ”but I don’t think there are many princesses either…who knows.”

Tina smiled and so did Bette, their gazes penetrating, intense.

”well I once believed in it…” Bette finally sighed looking away and looking out the window, a small ray of sunshine was still filtering through that afternoon.

Tina felt Bette’s melancholy and tried to lighten her mood ”you know…in a few days Angie will be 3, she asks me if you would like some of her unicorn cake…” Tina laughed

”yes Bette!” Angie smiled hearing about her cake ”you have to eat it!”

Bette laughed, stroking the little girl’s forehead gently ”I’ll want a piece for sure” she said looking sweetly at Angelica.

”For that day we’ll eat some sugar, I’m sorry…” Tina blushed again but Bette casually put her hand on hers for a moment and Tina’s heartbeat stopped ”don’t worry, I would do this and more for her…”.

Bette’s tone was so warm and sweet that Tina melted.

”thank you…” The blonde whispered, just then the door opened and Bette looked away from Tina.

”ok get out of here, I have to examine you” Helena entered with a resident Emily, an adorable blonde.

Tina rolled her eyes, jumping out of bed while Bette also laughed ”say hi to Bette, Angie…” Tina said smiling.

The little girl hugged Bette and then looked at Tina who was still standing in front of her, Angie in one hand ”then I’ll see you tomorrow, I’ll start before lunch” Bette smiled ”I won’t run away…” Tina laughed and leaned forward to give Bette a gentle kiss on the cheek, the brunette had warm and perfumed skin, a smell that didn’t smell like a hospital.
