“Your women have done well for themselves, “she says staring at Gaia only to receive a cold stare in return.

“Yes, my women have, “she responded placing emphasis on the word “my.”

“As that is the plan as my women will sleep well on full stomachs.”

“Your women are not the only ones worthy of food, “she says sternly.

“Worthy, now there’s a word that spills freely from your tongue.”

“You would stand by and see them starve due to your disdain for me!?”

“No, I would see all starve that follow an untrustworthy enemy, “she says rising slowly to her feet. Seeing Gaia stand her women stood behind her in a silent decree of solidarity. Seeing the others rise Bettes followers joined her standing by her side. As both Bette and Gaia starred at each other nothing or no one else around them mattered. Kellys revelation caused grave tensions between Gaia and Bette. Wanting to discuss the matter further but privately Bette gave her best effort trying to resolve the matter, however Gaia steaming from the ultimate betrayal from her close friend refused. The tensions also spilled over onto to the others as well causing a divide amongst the once bounded and loyal sisterhood. Those who sided with Bette believed she was not capable of such a betrayal, while the others sided with Gaia refusing to follow or take orders from an untrustworthy snake. The divide not only created a rift amongst themselves but the mission they were set upon to complete. It was clear, if something wasn’t resolved soon a battle between both sides was sure to ensue. Right now, there were more important issues that needed to be addressed mainly the one concerning the lack of food.

“You address your hatred towards me and not the others!”

“Our kill is only enough to feed the mouths of the women who stand with Gaia, “one of her followers says.

“You have more than enough!” The soldier that first approached Bette informing her there was a shortage yells out drawing her sword.

“Divide what you have I will not ask again!”

“Is that a threat?”

“It is if you would have it so!” Gaia not prone to threats unsheathes her sword following her lead her followers do the same. Bette never one to cower from a battle unsheathes her sword in response, however when she does she never took her eyes off Gaia letting her know she too was prepared for battle. Following Bettes stance they all draw their swords as well. There was a deafening silence amongst them all as the lines had been drawn and loyalties forged.
