“She was not her wife at appointed time, “another soldier yells in defense of Bette.

“Her loyalty should not be questioned as she has been a great friend to Gaia her only mistake was not sharing the truth sooner!”

“Enough, “the young soldier yells once more, “You all speak as if you were present the day events occurred! Yet, the two who have been greatly affected remain silent.” She pauses looking at both Gaia and Bette she continues speaking.

“I may be young but wise to see beyond my own selfish desires! If we do not stand together as one we will all fall divided! What good will your deaths be to your loved ones and women whose hearts you’ve captured if you do not pause to think!? We are a sisterhood bonded by  true purpose that is now lost along with its deeper meaning. I made promise to my wife and unborn daughter I would return to their loving arms but if I were to fall it would not be from the hands of those I consider sisters! For someone to be so young she was the wiser among them as she spoke both sense and reason. Aside from hurt feelings and ego Gaia knew the temporary treaty would began with her. She wasn’t in the least bit ready to forgive Bette or break words over the matter involving her wife, however what she was ready for was to ensure all return to their homes alive. Taking a deep breath she gazes at all the faces who pledged an oath of honor and loyalty. Looking down at her sword then at Bette she slowly sheathes her sword.
