    Let It Go

Shane and Kit took turns checking up on her. She knew that was what they were doing as they would make up excuses to stop by.

Shane: “Hey Bette, just stopped by I thought you may need a lift to get more paint.”

Kit: “Hey Baby girl just was out trollin on my bike.”

Bette loved them for their strong support. But as far as the rest of the gang went Bette just didn’t feel strong enough to deal with them. She loved them and hoped that things were good for them but she couldn’t play that person she had been anymore. To be around them she was afraid that that’s what she would fall into again. Explaining this to Shane didn’t go over well.

Shane: “Bette what do you mean I can’t tell Alice & Dana! Why? Bette what about Tina?? You belong together.”

Bette had to think for a minute. She needs to get it across to Shane that Tina deserved more then what Bette could offer her. Of course she thought about her but all she ever did was hurt Tina. She had to stop that cycle.

Bette: “Shane I just can’t be someone I’m not. I just need time. Look I just need to let Tina alone. She deserves happiness. I am such a ***** up I need to do this. Shane if I really love her I need to let her go. Please give me time. Let it Go.”

Kit is a constant presence in her life and one she now knows is a true blessing. Kit came to visit her daily in the beginning. It was Kit who convinced her to stay and get the help she needed. Now Kit was trying to get her to go and see the gang. Kit: “So let me get this straight, you don’t ever plan on seeing them again.”

Bette: “No, I just can’t plan beyond today. And I defiantly know I am not going to see any of them today. I just don’t feel the need. They are better off…”

Kit: “Stop right there. If you’re implying that they are better off without you think again. What do I have to do slap you up side of the head?”

Bette: “I guess I really didn’t mean that. I love them but I don’t know how to be with them and still be the new me. I need this version of me and I’m not comfortable enough to do anything else yet.”

Kit: Well it’s not like you are a drug addict who just got clean, trying to stay away from bad influences. These girls LUV you. Don’t you get it?”

Bette: No I mean Yes. Kit please give me time. Please Let it Go.”
