Let It Happen – Chapter VI
“Will there be anything else?,” he asked politely.
“No…this is great, thanks!,” Tina answered, smiling at him again. He bowed, and then turned to push the trolley out.
As Tina reached for the cappuccino, still smiling, she heard the outer door to the suite whoosh and shut.
She caught her breath when she saw the man had set a single pink rose on the table in the area Bette’s plate would have been in.
But he didn’t set a plate for her.
The breakfast had been set for just one person, and even the cappuccino she was now sipping, was the one for her only. He didn’t bring one up for Bette. She absentmindedly picked up the rose, and smelled it.
Where in the world is Bette? Did she go have breakfast already? It was odd that she didn’t leave a note or anything to let her know.
Tina picked up the paper, to scan the headlines. She put it down on her left, while she picked up a warm croissant, gingerly opening it, and buttered it up.
She was halfway through the croissant, and halfway through her cappuccino, when she heard the chimes of the suite door ring again.
Hmmmm… odd. Bette must have forgotten her key card or something.
She stood up excitedly, eager to see her lover. Her lover. Tina was liking the sound of that.
Bette had been tireless last night. Somehow finding the energy to make love to her again, and again, and again. Who was she kidding? Tina thought. She was all over Bette, herself, last night. Finding she was instantly ready, whenever she felt the brunette slip her hand between the blonde’s thighs, and returning Bette’s touch eagerly, with her own searching hand, reaching between Bette.
She ran to the door, and flung it open.
Her smile froze in place.
There were several men in dark suits eyeing her, and just behind them she spotted the elderly gentleman who greeted them every morning, manning the front desk. He seemed to want to talk to her, and was silently imploring her with his eyes.
“Bonjour,” one of the men in the dark suit said curtly.
Tina automatically closed her robe tightly, and said nothing. She began to close the door.

Hi!
I want you ask something – how many comments have you got on “old” site in the chapter when Tina confessed Bette that she cheated on her? How bad where they?
Don’t remember how many, but most of the comments (if not all) indicated people “felt” Bette’s pain.
Deleted previous comment – i was wrong with timing of Tina’s cheating. Yeah it was after DС, when they were in NY already. And therefore of course it as cheating
… and now you add mystery and suspense to the romance ; this marvellous story keeps me captivated and totally holds spellbound !
It’s official – I’m addicted. Period.
And so happy to be !! ;-)
As you might have guessed, I’m responding to you in reverse order (!) to your posts. Thanks for reading through the chapters :-). Glad you are hooked!
