They entered Tina’s home to find Alice and Dana sitting in the livingroom. “CK, TK. How goes it?” Alice greeted exuberantly and she took each of Tina’s parents in a hug.
“Al, we’re good. You look lovely as always.” Carrie commented.
“Oh, go on.” Alice said.
“And Dana. Always a pleasure to see you. You were terrific in Newport.” Carrie said as she hugged her.
“Thanks Carrie. Although I think I could’ve used some coaching from Mr. K in Stanford.”
Ted puffed up. “Well, I might have a few suggestions for you.” Dana smiled, more than interested to hear them.
“How about we get the barbecue started and then we can talk tennis. Katie, can you run your bag into your room and change into your swim suit if you still want to go in?” Tina went to the fridge and pulled out the steaks from the fridge. “Daddy, can you start these on the bbq?” She asked, knowing her father would love something like this to do.
“Sure sweetie.” He answered, quickly taking the steaks and heading outside to his bbq command post.
“Honey, why don’t I get Katie ready and in the pool?” Tina’s mother answered.
“That would be great. Thanks, Mama.” Tina answered.
“Ok. How did it go with John?” Al asked quietly as Dana leaned in to hear the answer.
Tina looked to Bette to answer since it was up to her how much she wanted out in the open. She left the counter and moved to the fridge to get out the salad fixins.
“Its as Tina and Nan suspected, Jody has been very busy skimming money – my money. John’s going to find out where its gone.
“Ok here’s what we do. Grab him from the club, knock him out, strip him and tie him naked to the net for club day.” Alice stated.
The others laughed heartily at the image, even more so at Al’s serious expression.
“God Al. You are invaluable. I think we need to be a little more strategic to begin with but Bette, I don’t think we should let this idea go to waste.” Tina suggested to Bette.

Very very nice chapter, Robi. I too love this story. And I love Bette’s new partner in crime, Ted, more and more. I have a feeling these two are going to get along very well.
It sunday and it must be scheduled posting of “love all” ah yes … woke up to find this. It one of this things I like about sundays ;-) great story and its certainly heading in the direction for a couple of drama scenes now…And when I am not following english football I am following Rugby, , I wont comment about the All Blacks. But will just say thanks for posting and I look forward to you next posting. If by the way you feel like treating your fans to another chapter before next sunday dont let us stop you ;-)
Bette’s tough,and Tina is even tougher, I have faith that they can handle whatever Jodi may try to throw they’re way. Katie is too funny.
Well, my team does not play rugby but they do play college football and we are doing okay. The Rainbow Warriors of the University of Hawai’i are hanging in there. I am getting really excited about all that is happening in this story. For once I see a happy Bette with friends and family around her. Nan has always tried to watch out for her but she could only do so much for Bette. Now Bette has a larger support system to help her kick what’s his face out of the husband/manager role for good.
I can feel it coming in the air tonight… The drama!
B4 I even go read the story I had a crack up about your comment about the ALL BLACKS!!!! I’m a kiwi who works at a ‘rugby’ school, imagine the drama!!! even my mom at 80 was wild especially at Graham Henry. Oh well, Hei aha (Never mind) as I said the Magpies won over the Chiefs but today lost to Auckland. But our team, the Magpies are heroes to us.Hope your heart has recovered. I thought the French played very well today but another loss to the POMS. I’m picking the Argentinians. I’ll go read the story now/oh yeah the Aussies trashed us at League 2day.

Hm, the image of Jody trussed to a court net and wearing nothing but that sleazy little mustache is nauseating, yet hilarious. Honey, though, is to good a coating. Tar and feathers all the way for him. I’m glad Bette passed Ted’s test with flying colors. (There was really no doubt of that though, was there?) Her wanting to have that talk with any of Katie’s potential future suitors was too cute. And I hope that Bette doesn’t feel she doesn’t measure up to Kate somehow… Tina needs to let Bette know there’s no comparison. Great chapter, Robi. Can’t wait for next Sunday. Thanks

Naked Jody…I’m glad I haven’t eaten anything because that’s just vomit-inducing.
That was very sweet sorry for busting you with the prenup thing :)love the way Tina’s parents are warming up to Bette. I know it’s not going to all be roses and sunshine Bette will probably loose a couple of people who are pretending to be her friends and sponsors who are afraid they will be tainted by a homosexual sports star but at least she will be able to drop that millstone that is around her neck into a very deep ocean. This is going to be a very long week have a good one.

Loved everything about this update. Tina’s parents being so adorable. Bette bonding with Katie. I’m a little nervous for shit to hit the fan soon..but hopefully whatever it is Bette and Tina work through it together. PPS.
