“We all know Alice lacks sense common or otherwise “Helena said opening a container with potato salad in and spooning some onto her plate.
“I don’t know – she’s pretty common “Lara said
“Oye – I’m going to sit in the car if it’s going to be several hours of pick on Alice time “
“Well it will be Helena’s car because I am not letting you sit in my car the way you eat – gee Alice we’ve been here ten minutes and you’ve made a mess already “ Bette waved her fork in Alice’s direction
“What about you Tina – would you like to have a go at me as well – make it a Full House of insults and jibes about me?”
“I am sure I will come up with something later but for now I’m eating so don’t ask”
Bette looked at Tina and sighed – the blonde really would NEVER know how much love she felt for her. Bette knew she was biased but Tina looked sexier than anyone else there. She was wearing faded jeans that were cut off at the knees and a black sleeve-less tee-shirt, her long blonde hair was tied by in a pigtail and she was wearing neat, small round sunglasses. She had removed her sneakers and her toes were sinking into the sand.
Alice saw that Bette was looking at Tina – it wasn’t a huge leap of faith to assume that it was the usual look of a puppy dog.
“Bette – do you have to look at her all the time – you know what she looks like and she’s in no danger of being kidnapped “
Bette lifted her sunglasses and fixed Alice with a stare
“Are you criticising me for looking at my girlfriend? “
Lara and Shane sniggered.
“Not criticising – just commenting that you look at her all the time “
“Oh – is there a quota that I am exceeding?”
“Well no but we all know she belongs to you – you don’t have to keeping checking up on her “
“Tina BELONGS to me !!!Alice – its none of your freaking business and I resent the phrase that we belong to one another. We have a loving relationship – there is nothing deferential or owning about it “

Hello Ally, Great to see the gals having some down time together. I love these special moments; there are just little scenes in a lopng life but ones that are important. They show how friendship works and how much it means to all the gang. The dialogue was wondrous. It flowed alonged and carried along this beautiful chapter. Shame that Bette was so envious of Helena at first and that Helena is now enivous of Bette and Tina’s relationship. Amazing to see the gals grow and develop. Life leaves its footprints on us all. The naughtiness of Bette and Tina alone on the beach was delightful. More please. Ally, you have an artist’s way with words. Each scene is painted and shaded to give depth and character. I love and adore your fine work. Thank you. Your Loyal Fan.

I love Tina flashing Bette and Bette’s joke at the end – it’s my favorite part of having a partner you can really be yourself with sexually and know what you do to them. ally you wrote that brilliantly as usual.
