    Love In Blue ch.18

    "You don’t remember her name?"

"Um, daddy called her sweet cheeks, that is a very silly name. Right B," he asked me and I widened my eyes, "stupid name, stupid lady."

"Jackson, quit saying that word. Why do you keep saying it?"

"Cause, that lady says it. She is mean momma, she don’t like you. She said mean things and I told daddy. But daddy says it’s ok. They also say bad words, but I don’t say, it’s baaaaad."

"Alright buddy, we’ll talk more later. Let B put a movie on while I finish dinner."

As I put Jackson’s movie in, I hear Tina slamming things around in the kitchen. She seemed a little upset about what Jackson had said. I got him settled in his bean bag chair, he really loved watching Toy Story, so he held his Woody doll as the movie started. I walked to the kitchen and found Tina chopping some carrots.

"Easy baby, those carrots meant you no harm."

"I can’t believe that jerk off," she said quietly, making sure Jackson couldn’t hear.

    "What?"

"He already moved some hussy into his home, making crude remarks and letting her be mean to Jackson and talk shit about me. He’s really unbelievable."

    "Babe."

"I don’t care that he moved some woman into the house. I just care about what kind of impact she’s making on Jackson. He’s already picked up on a bad word; he’s obviously hearing things he shouldn’t. He’s only three!"

"You just need to talk to Eric and let him know this is unacceptable."

"I know. I think I’ll talk to him about child support too. His action or inaction I should say, a couple days ago was completely unacceptable and he needs to pay for me to care for Jack if he won’t do it himself. He’s a nurse for God’s sakes, he could have done something!"

"No, don’t cause more trouble. You don’t need his money. I am more than willing and happy to help you with whatever Jackson’s needs are."

"Bette, I couldn’t let you do that."

"He’s my family now and I take care of my family. Now if Jackson needs emergency care, then Eric should step in and help. But things like doctors and dentists or whatever I don’t mind."

    1. Guessing that the “stupid” lady is Amy (being lazy and dont remember if that was the name of the woman at work who was threatening to reveal B&T’s involvement to Eric) and that while its wrong for Jackson to say it but is right in theory that shes a stupid lady because shes probably calling them B&T stupid that they didnt realize she & Eric are together & probably have been since before B&T got together…so sorry about that very lengthy sentence there – just SO disgusted by Erics behavior towards and around Jackson (allowing this woman to be around him & say these things). Thx for the post and curious to find out the identity of the mystery woman and whether Eric will shape up??

    2. Great chapter. It is bad when your stuck in between. Kids can adapt quickly to new surroundings but are also likely to pick up things especially negative things about the people close to them… Hope things get better for you and your partner… =]

    3. Thanks for the posting to another amazing story. Its unfortunate that some adults don’t know how to be mature around their children. Bad parenting begets bad parenting. Kids are very smart and know where they feel safe and secure. Thank goodness for Bette and her incredible heart in the way that she loves Tina and Jackson in this story and he will always look up to her because of the way she respects him and his mom. Thank you!
