“Cathy Rowland, U.S. Marshal. And I advise you to keep it down.” Cathy handed Tina a calling card.
U.S. Marshal??
“And who are you?”
“Tina Porter-Kennard.”
“So she’s safe? Not a possible hostile?” Cathy had turned back to Kaci, ignoring Tina, arms akimbo.
A possible hostile??
“No … no … she’s ok. Not a hostile.” Kaci gave Tina a quick smile.
“You know that you’re not supposed to interact with any strangers while we’re here. Bad enough that you disappeared for several hours yesterday afternoon, you know. I got my ass handed to me last night because of that stunt you …” Cathy continued, spitting out the words.
Kaci interrupted her, after she shot Tina another assuring smile. “I know. I know. And I’m sorry about that. But, as you all can see, and as I told all of you last night, nothing happened! I’m still here. Safe and sound…”
Tina listened to the quick, choppy conversation, instinctively keeping quiet. What the hell is going on? And who is Kaci, really? She looked at Kaci, and her befuddlement showed in her face.
“So if she knows you from California, she must know your real name. Could she slip up and use that?” Cathy was insistent, and sounded worried.
Her real name??
Kaci shook her head quickly. “No, no. I promise you that she won’t. She’ll only call me by “Kaci,” my new name. Right, Tina?”
Tina nodded slowly, her confusion evident in her face. Cathy turned to her, and mistook her confusion. “I know, it must be confusing to call her Kaci. Sorry about the extreme measures I took back there. But you were an unknown, and I had to be sure Kaci was ok. And I hope, for her sake, please, please do not call her anything else. She’s “Kaci” from now on, alright?”
Tina nodded again, hazel eyes reaching out to Kaci, silently asking for help or an explanation of what was going on.
Meanwhile, Kate had been dancing with a cutie she’d picked up at the bar when she saw Tina’s text. After one more song, she left the dance floor and wandered outside. She saw Tina talking to a tall, mocha-skinned beauty in black tights, stack-heeled ankle boots, and a loose, unstructured white top covered with a neon-colored flower pattern and a much shorter dark-haired woman in a plain bob and simple black blouse and jeans.

is chapter is painful, Tina was again unfaithful, I hope for the next face that Tina be honest with Bette and Bette are angry and disappointed, I hope Bette took time alone to think about their marital future, I hope Tina suffer and drag to order forgiveness for having sexual desires for women and never stopping to kiss that whore !!! Tina has to suffer its consequences and this story made me nervous, I’m looking forward to your next chapter, thanks for today
I will be interested how you play this with Bette and Tina. There hasn’t been very much romance for Tibette in a long time. They need to reconnect and take care of their marriage. Thanks, enjoyed it
This is turning into “Love Out of Control.” I think Dan Foxworthy is going to have his hands full with Tina once again. She needs to figure out why? Why again? I was particularly drawn to the line, “…you live in New York! You can’t avoid bumping into gorgeous people here. It’s a giant candy store out there, and you must run into all manner of eye candy all the time… ” It made me think that while everyone enjoys a little candy every now and then, it has very little nutritional value. Tina seems like the type who chooses things that nourish her. She’ll figure it out.
I’ve got to find this lesbian bar you so vividly described. It sounds like its definitely worth the price of admission.
You hit all the senses again…strawberry-flavored gloss, honeysuckle scent, warm pliant tongue, pulsing beat, daring outfits. You put me right in the scenes again.
BTW, you’ve teased us long enough, I’m dying to read about Bette’s golf outing. Bring it on!
Yes sky when you said drama well what can say. I feel bad for Kaci but I’m glad Tina stopped from letting it go any further….
When i asked more B&T time, this was not what i expected :-( . Thank god Tina stopped the kiss , but she seemed to kiss back and that is not good. I know that you can be acctracted to other people while you are in a happy secure marriage, but she is/ was playing with fire.
My heart breaks for Bette, she doesn’t deserve this. Tina has to come clean. It was Kaci who started the kiss to distract the guys attention but it was Tina who kissed back. Fuck what a mess.
And Lena is that the same woman Bette is after for the foundation?
