She skipped over to them.
“Oh, hey, Tina! New friends?”
Tina swiveled around to look at Kate, who she saw was looking interestedly at Kaci. She could see that Kate was beginning to draw conclusions in her head, so she jumped in.
“Oh, hey, Kate! Big surprise. I ran into Kaci here. You remember Kaci, right? Worked with her briefly in a film back in LA? Ages ago? Think I mentioned her to you?”
Cathy’s eyes narrowed as she looked from Kaci to Tina to Kate. “You know Kaci, also?”
Kate was thoroughly confused. “Kaci? From LA, you said?”
Cathy again mistook Kate’s confused look. “Yeah, she’s now Kaci … so please call her by that name, ok?”
“Hang on.” Cathy broke off and spoke into a microphone that had evidently been hidden behind her wrist. “Yeah, can you please check on that?” She stepped away from the group as she continued to talk into the microphone.
Kaci hastily pulled Tina aside. Kate joined them. “Tina, I can’t explain everything in two seconds. I promise you that everything I told you yesterday is true. I do have a cousin, and it does look like that she’ll be relocating to New York. I did run into you by accident; I didn’t plan on meeting you all….”
Cathy joined them. “Tina here checks out. She’s a movie exec …”
Kate cocked her head to one side. “Yeah, and I’m a director. So …”
“So everyone checks out, that’s all,” Cathy answered her, steely eyes meeting Kate’s questioning ones.
She turned to look at Kaci, who was still eyeing Tina worriedly. She spoke quietly into the microphone, and then she went over to Kaci, and pulled on her arm. They took a few steps away from Tina and Kate. “Look, Kaci, if you’re still worried that your friend Tina may blow your cover, inadvertently even, why don’t you go off and grab a drink or coffee or something, and explain things to her? I don’t need to tell you that you can’t tell her everything … but if it’ll help, you can go tell her a few things. Enough that she won’t cause you to worry. Especially since we’re leaving tomorrow…”
Kaci gave her a wry smile. Cathy had misread things. But this was an unexpected opening she was offering so that Kaci could try to settle Tina’s confusion.

is chapter is painful, Tina was again unfaithful, I hope for the next face that Tina be honest with Bette and Bette are angry and disappointed, I hope Bette took time alone to think about their marital future, I hope Tina suffer and drag to order forgiveness for having sexual desires for women and never stopping to kiss that whore !!! Tina has to suffer its consequences and this story made me nervous, I’m looking forward to your next chapter, thanks for today
I will be interested how you play this with Bette and Tina. There hasn’t been very much romance for Tibette in a long time. They need to reconnect and take care of their marriage. Thanks, enjoyed it
This is turning into “Love Out of Control.” I think Dan Foxworthy is going to have his hands full with Tina once again. She needs to figure out why? Why again? I was particularly drawn to the line, “…you live in New York! You can’t avoid bumping into gorgeous people here. It’s a giant candy store out there, and you must run into all manner of eye candy all the time… ” It made me think that while everyone enjoys a little candy every now and then, it has very little nutritional value. Tina seems like the type who chooses things that nourish her. She’ll figure it out.
I’ve got to find this lesbian bar you so vividly described. It sounds like its definitely worth the price of admission.
You hit all the senses again…strawberry-flavored gloss, honeysuckle scent, warm pliant tongue, pulsing beat, daring outfits. You put me right in the scenes again.
BTW, you’ve teased us long enough, I’m dying to read about Bette’s golf outing. Bring it on!
Yes sky when you said drama well what can say. I feel bad for Kaci but I’m glad Tina stopped from letting it go any further….
When i asked more B&T time, this was not what i expected :-( . Thank god Tina stopped the kiss , but she seemed to kiss back and that is not good. I know that you can be acctracted to other people while you are in a happy secure marriage, but she is/ was playing with fire.
My heart breaks for Bette, she doesn’t deserve this. Tina has to come clean. It was Kaci who started the kiss to distract the guys attention but it was Tina who kissed back. Fuck what a mess.
And Lena is that the same woman Bette is after for the foundation?
