    Drama takes a holiday. Bette & Tina make love under the stars and you’re invited…

     

    She began feeling anxious this afternoon.  It was a different anxious than the norm when into the final stages of a show opening.  This felt different.  Bette began to think at one point she would have a panic attack, but just started breathing slow and easy and it did pass.

     

    Now, sitting in the car she realized what was eating at her.  This would be the first big opening since Provocations and Tina would be on her arm, just as she was that awful night – and she was frightened on several levels – not because there was anything strained or worrisome about their relationship now, but it simply evoked bad memories, and try as she might she has never forgiven herself totally for what she did to Tina, how she betrayed her.

     

    We have come so far, she thought, but is being in the same environment going to trigger something in Tina that even she thought was safely put away in the “lessons learned” box? 

     

    Bette’s greatest fear was just that:  Tina realizing that she never got over the hurt from the infidelity and how it ripped her heart apart.  When standing in the place where she discovered it, would it slap her backwards to that time and tear up the freshly laid pavement on the road of trust they’ve painstakingly rebuilt?  

     

     

    I would just lay down and dieI couldn’t bear itmy heart would not withstand the pain

     

    She says she’ll never leave you againshe loves you

     

    Talk to herthese are the times when you’re afraid that you push yourself to talk, tell her you’re frightened.  Tina has promised to always be there if you reach out for her hand

     

    She cannot fulfill her promise, if you don’t reach out. 

     

    Where’s my cape? Oh, right, I’m not Wonder Woman. I cannot save the day all by myselfWait a minute, that was Mighty Mousejust get your ***** out of this car. 

     

     

     

    Bette took a deep breath and made her way to their front door. 

     

    My everything

     

    My world

     

    Is just beyond that slab of wood

     

     

    “Hey, babe, everything okay?  I heard the car pull in about ten minutes ago.”

      What a chapter!

      All of the love and lust languishing on the screen.

      Bette’s acceptance that she had to open up and let Tina in shows just how much these characters have moved on together.

      Then the hotness that was astounding. My screen is still steamed up after that sexy, sensuous and sizzling scene. Bette and Tina united in the most primal and powerful passion moved my world too.

      Thank you for this wondrous diversion from all the devious developments.
