Chapter 27

Tina opened the door to Alices apartment and quickly headed to the shower. She caught a quick glimpse of Alice lying on the living room floor.

Tina: Hey Al.

Then Tina noticed Dana lying next to her…naked.

Tina: Hi Dana. Hi Alice and Dana naked on the floor. ***** Im sorry.

Tina covered her eyes and bee lined to the bathroom.
All three girls were terribly embarressed. Alice and Dana jumped up giggling. Grabbing the blanket they ran to the bed room and closed the door.

Alice: Holy ***** Dane did you see the look on her face.

Dana was beat red.

Dana: Yeah I did. Oh god that was priceless!

Alice: Well at least she had an idea this was going on so it wont be completely a shock.

Dana: I guess thats true. If she hadnt known that might have killed her!

Meanwhile..

Tina stood in the shower gradually inicreasing the water temperature. The hot water burning her skin.

Tina: *****, what did you do? Now you are just as bad as her. Well not just as bad, at least were broken up, so I didnt cheat.

When Tina was done consoling herself she jumped out of the shower and grabbed a towel. She wrapped it around herself and headed out of the bathroom. She knew she should apologize to Dana and Alice. She knocked softly on Alices bedroom door.

Dana answered, clothed this time.

Dana: Hey Tee. Sorry about what you saw before.

Tina: Oh please, it was my fault I should have knocked.

Alice screamed from the back of the room.

Alice: Why would you knock? When do I ever get any action?

All three laughed.

Tina: Anyway, umm so I hate to bring up a rough topic but…

Dana cut her off.

Dana: I called it off.

Tina: Really? How did she take it?

Dana: Not well. When she got back to my place to get her stuff she threw my racket out the bedroom window.

Tina: Hmm, thats probably not good.

Alice: No, I dont think it is!

Tina jokingly shot Alice a dirty look.

Tina: Well, I guess congrats are in order then! We all thought you guys would make a great couple. Does anyone else know?

Alice: No, just you.

Dana: And Tonya.

Tina: Yeah I gathered that.

She smiled lovingly at Dana.

Alice: we havent told Shane or Bett…

Alice stopped herself. She didnt want to bring up any bad blood. Not after she heard what happened the night before.

Tina: Guys, what exactly happened last night.

Alice: I really dont think you want to know.

Dana: No, no way.

Tina: Yeah guys please.

Alice: Ok well, Bette showed up at Milk because a little birdy told her you were there. When she got there you were practically humping Kates leg. When Bette came to talk you, you grabbed your new friend and shoved your tongue down her throat.

Tina: Oh god…tell me it stops there.

Alice: Nope..it only gets worse.

Tina: How Is Bette?

Alice: Last I saw she was a mess, but, who knows. I mean maybe she took your advide.

Tina: What was that?

Alice: You told her to call her carpenter and ***** her.

Alice used her hands for emphasis.

Tina: I dont know what came over me. I want to be nice to her. I miss her, but when I see her…ugh!

Alice: I know.

Tina: I just get so angry and I cant control it. I would hope that we could be civial. I mean we have to work out this whole divorce thing.

Dana: What?

Alice: What? Youre going through with that?

Tina: I have to. I can never trust her again. No matter how much I want to, I cant.

Alice: I think you just need more time.

Dana: Yeah, this isnt a decision to made quickly.

Tina: Guys, I know. But I think it is what is best. I considered taking her back. I really did, but trust! That is huge, I cant forget what she did. And now if she had to go away for business or had to stay late at work, I would be wondering what or who she was doing.

Alice and Dana did understand, they just didnt want to except it.

Tina: I made a call to Hector yesterday and he said they have a paid position I could take. So…Im gonna go look for an apartment today.

Alice: Tee, you can stay here.

Tina smiled and gestured at Dana.

Tina: I think it best you ladies have some space. New love, needs lots of privacy…if I recall correctly.

The girls did agree with her. There was lots of ***** to be had.

Tina: Anyway, I need a huge favor. Well, its two favors, but its rolled in one.

Alice: Anything Tee.

Tina: OK, I need to pack my stuff. If I go to the house when Bette is there it will all end in tears and fighting. So I thought maybe you guys took take her out, see hows shes doing. Maybe butter her up to the fact that it over. No more delusions of us getting back together. Then I could sneak in grab my stuff and get out. You guys can tell her I was there after I left.

Dana: I dont know Tee, that isnt really the nicest thing to do to her.

Alice: Can you think of a better way?

Dana stayed silent.

Tina: So, what do you say?

Alice: Were in, but we arent going to enjoy it. It feels like we are tricking her.

Tina: I know, I know, but please guys. You know shell forgive you. I just dont know how to handle myself if I have to see her in what used to be OUR house.

Alice: OK. Ill call her and arrange everything.

Tina opened her arms and embraced both women.

Tina: Ill owe you for life.

Tina tighented the towel around her body and headed to the living room.
Alice and Dana fell back on the bed and starred at each other. They both dreaded what they had just promised to do. Alice moved first and reached for her phone.

Alice: Hey Bette, Dana and I wanted to take you out for coffee. We need to talk. What do you say?
