    …..New Story…no title…….chapter 11

What kind of life did I have after she died, lots of women but they were only out for my money. Did I care, no. Because the two most beautiful gems in my life were gone. Not lost but gone. So I started my research. You were not difficult to find but your sister………………..

When I came to your show, I was proud. I cried because I saw your mother but I also saw you my girl, my princess. After the show I had arranged with your management that I could have a meet-and-greet with you. But you weren’t ready. I can understand. It hurt but I can understand. By the way, who was that tall gentleman who calmed you down?”

“That gentleman, is my husband, dad.”

Both Kit and her father were silent. Kit trying to digest what her father just told her. She remembered when Maxine would comfort her, telling her that her father was an angry man. The anger took hold of him because of some bad experiences he had in his youth. But she also told her that when the anger was away, he was the most gentle and giving man she ever met. That was the reason why she stayed with him and his bullshit. Maxine thought that by giving Melvin all the love she could give, he would change. She hoped that his daughters could bring out the good in him. But she was wrong.

Melvin thought about what he said, crying softly and praying that before he would die, he could make amends with his younger daughter. Then he thought about what Kit said about the tall gentleman.

“Your husband, Kit? He looks like a wonderful man, a good man. A man who can give you a good home. A home you need to rest and recharge after a show. That is important for every succeful person. Having a good home. Treat him right, let him treat you right. Don’t accept no bullshit, although I’m not the one who should say that to you. I gave you girls all the bad examples I could give.”

Kit looked at her father dumb strucked. She sighed and sighed deep.

“You know dad, there was a time when I hated you so bad. I could hear Maxine’s words and I couldn’t understand them. What had she’d ever seen I you? A gentle and sweet man? I couldn’t see it. But you know at the end of the day, you’re still my father. I’m sure there must have been a reason why you did what you did.

    1. Girl, you are on a roll! Several updates, yeah!

I like that you wrote about what happend in the past, explained Melvin’s behaviour to his wifes and daughters. But i think he has a lot to make up and that he welcomes Tina in the family like he did with Sonny.

      Enjoyed this chapter, thank you!

    2. Sometimes our head hampers everything. Other times it’s the heart that does not help. And others are due to the fact that precipitation is inherent in humans. Melvin was wrong with her daughters. Wrong with himself. And he’s apologizing for being so cruel. I think Bette and Kit would be the last people who wanted to hurt, but it’s always like that. We ended up hurting those we love most .And is now asking forgiveness of their daughters.
The human being lives full of imperfections, full of flaws in their system, full of black skills, but the human being is also synonymous with learning and improvement.
      Entire universe.
