Bette carried Angie through
“Wow – its big “
“All the better to enjoy cartoons “ Bette picked up the remote and flicked on the cartoon network for Angie
“Roadrunner ! “ Angie was delighted.
“Right – you get into bed “ Bette put Angie down – she scrambled into Bette and Tina’s bed. Bette looked at the blonde
“What do you think ?”
“I think you are expecting us to spend a lot of time in bed “
Bette raised an eyebrow and smiled “Naturally “
“Bette “
“Yes Angie “ Bette looked at the little girl sitting in the middle of the huge double bed
“I’m hungry “
Bette looked at Tina “ Good sign – what about you ?”
“I could try something like a sandwich “ Tina admitted
“Good – do you want to watch the news Ti ?”
“No -roadrunner is on “
“Roadrunner is fine “ Tina said “ but please turn the volume down “
Bette did and put the remote down
“You keep Angie company “ she said to Tina
Bette smiled “Okay – do you want anything with your sandwich Angie ?”
“Can I have some potato chips ?”
“Why not “
Bette strolled out going into the living room. She hit the refresh button on her emails and grinned as she read that she had secured a piece for Peggy at a price that they would both be very happy about. Tina followed her through – she was starting to get bored just trying to rest and wanted to spend a few quality private minutes with Bette. She saw Bette sitting at her PC – she padded up behind her and read what Bette was typing
“$2500 “ she exclaimed
Bette chuckled “Peggy is in love “
“How much is she paying you for these pieces ?”
“We agreed a finders fee for each piece – she’s paying me $500 to land that – the piece is probably worth $8000 in an open auction “
“How is it going – Christmas is only two and a half weeks away ?”
Bette looked up at Tina who did look tired but she had vowed to be honest with her
“I might have to go away later next week “
