    “That’s good “ Bette lent closer and kissed Tina passionately “I have missed making love to you “

    “I don’t think I am up to it yet “

    “Snot is not that huge of a turn on “ Bette said smiling

    “I know – but just so long as you know that I am missing being naked with you “

    Bette smiled “Lets get those sandwiches made before we get into trouble “

    “Our daughter is loving all the attention that she is getting “

    Bette nodded “I just love it when you call her that “

    “Well she is our daughter – she loves you so much Bette “

    They walked into the kitchen and Tina started fixing the drinks for all three of them while Bette made some chicken sandwiches. Tina finished first and stood watching Bette as she carefully cut Angie’s sandwiches in four quarters

    “I was wondering something “

    Bette looked at her “ What’s that ?”

    “There are a fair few photo albums of Angie as a baby and growing up – I was wondering if you would like to see them. I do understand if its too much “

    Bette added a few potato chips to Angie’s plate as she considered Tina’s question.

    “I don’t know how I would feel” Bette admitted – she turned and faced Tina “I think one of the things that I hate the most is that Alice and Jenny have more memories of her than I do. They watched her grow up “

    “True – but you know her better already because we live together. Its not a line on my part to say that she’s always been shy of people. Yes she’s known Alice, Kit, Shane and the others since she was born but she’s never been as happy and confident with anyone like she is with you. The bottom line is that she is your daughter – she is in awe of you. I see so many ways that she’s comfortable with you. Babe – she’s crazy about you – she trusts you. I love seeing the two of you together. Do you remember when she woke up because it was a storm outside and she got up and you took care of her ? That blew me away – the way she was cuddled up against you and the way she listened to you. I love seeing it. Bette – in the past when I have left her with a babysitter all night or with the others I have really worried. When I went to LA – I missed you both but I was so secure in knowing how safe and happy she was with you “
