No Good Deed Goes Unpunished Chapter 28

Alex had heard the giggling from down the hall and he quickly made his way into the room with Alice and Tina.

Alex: And what are you two laughing at?

Alice couldn’t contain her smile, although she did try.

    Alice: Nothing.

Alex gave a non-convinced look at Tina.

Alex: Really? Because I know I heard my name and then these burst of hysterical laughter

    Tina: No, no no.

Alice: But just out of curiosity, how do you feel about Ricky Martin?

Tina fell back onto the bed yet again.

Alex: What are you talking about?

    Alice just smirked.

Alex: Alice, what are you talking about and why is she laughing?

Alice: Here is what I know to be true Alex. Around 3 am last evening or this morning, however you chose to categorize it. I woke up to a strange moaning coming from your side of our room.

Alex’s face turned beet red as he prepared to deny the accusations he knew were coming.

Alice: Upon further investigation I was able to make out the actual words coming from your mouth. ” I will push and pull you down Ricky, living la vida loca”

Alex: Oh that is so not true

Tina: You really aren’t in a position to argue with the reporter.

Alice nodded her head as if to show what a great investigative job she had done.

Alex: That is such a lie.

Alice: Oh no my cute little ***** friend, it is fact.

    Alex: You have no proof!

    Alice: Oh really?

    Alex: Yeah really!

Alice: I’m a reporter Alex. Do you think that I wouldn’t carry a tape recorder with me at all times?

Alex let out a loud gasp.

Tina: You got it on tape?

    Alice raised a single eyebrow.

    Alex: Oh god…

Bette stood in the doorway for a few moments and watched as Sara tossed and turned slightly in her bed. She had noticed that the young women’s coloring was turning lighter and her lips pale and cracked. Sara’s eyes were barely open at this point. They looked like small slits allowing only small bits of light through.

    Bette: May I come in?

Janice looked up from the book she was engrossed in giving Bette a slight nod.
