Of Angels and Demons Chapter 5
“What are you doing?”
Dana rolled her eyes. “I’m packing.”
“Why?”
Dana turned around to look at Zach, who was making a mess in her room. “Aren’t we leaving.”
Zach looked up at Dana from the pile of clothes he had thrown on the ground. “Yeah, but you don’t need any of that stuff.”
“Yes, I do. You probably don’t, but I do. What are you doing? It’s gonna take me forever to clean up, please stop.”
“Whatever that stuff’s just gonna take up room in the car. You wouldn’t happen to have a hat?”
“Wait,” Dana closed her suitcase and looked at Zach again. “Aren’t we going in a plane? And what do you need a hat for?”
“I need a hat so I can scare people on the road. And no we’re not going in a plane.”
“Why not?”
“I’m scared of heights.” Dana put her hand on her hip. Zach rolled his eyes. “Okay, Dana, think. If we go by plane, you might as well just tell whoever’s looking for you where we’re going. Duh.”
Dana sat down on the bed. She knew he was right. “Where are we going anyways?”
“We’re going to the lone star state, Texas!” Zach said with excitement and pride.
“Texas, why?”
“Because no on would expect you to go there, it’s a quiet state, and I have familia there.” Zach patted Dana’s head. “You ready, to go?”

Alice was marveled at how packed the Planet was, she had never so many people in one building before. She figured it was the result of the band Kit had booked that night. Alice started looking for someone familiar and spotted Bette and Tina in the VIP section. Alice started walking over. Just as Alice was about to reach them a big, heavyset man, whose name tag said Freddie stopped her. “Pass?”
“Uh, I don’t have one.”
“Well, isn’t that a shame? You can’t get in without a pass.”
“Bette!” Alice tried to call her friend, but she couldn’t hear her over the music. “Look, go find Kit. I know her, she’ll tell you.”
Freddie just nodded his head, “I’m sure you know her ma’am, but no pass, no entry. Sorry.”
Alice turned around and whispered to Lizzy. “He’s not sorry.”
Lizzy looked back at Freddie. “He can be taken care of.”
“What?” Lizzy suddenly disappeared. Alice was stunned and just shook her head. Alice looked around. “Lizzy where the hell did you go?”
Just then, Alice heard a deep voice from behind her. “I’m sorry, ma’am, what did you saw your name was?”
Alice turned around and saw Freddie looking at her. “Uh, I didn’t tell you my name. It’s Alice Pieszecki.”
Freddie thought for a minute. “You know what? I think Kit mentioned your name and that you might be here. You can go in.”
“Uh, thanks.” Alice walked past him without any questions. Alice walked over to the table Bette and Tina were sitting at, still confused as to why Freddie had a change of heart.
“Hey Alice, I thought you weren’t coming,” Tina said cheerfully.
“I thought so too,” Alice said, still looking for Lizzy.
“Looking for someone?” Bette asked
“Huh? Oh, um, where’s Shane?”
“I think she’s with Carmen somewhere,” Tina answered.
“Okay, well tell her I stopped by. Tell Kit she threw a great party. I have to leave. Gotta get up early.” Alice got up from the table.
“But you just got here, Al,” Tina said.
Alice thought, she couldn’t just up and leave. “No, I’ve been here for a while, I just couldn’t find you. Okay, bye.” Alice darted out of the Planet. She got in her car and was about to leave when someone tapped on her window.
“What the hell Alice? Where’re you going?” Shane asked.
“Home.”
“So you just came for a minute and you’re leaving?”
“I’m sorry Shane,” Alice began to roll up her window, “but I have to get up early tomorrow. I have to go to New York. See you in two weeks.” Alice started the car and drove off, leaving behind a confused and worried Shane.
Alice had began to cry. What did I just do? Why the hell did I leave, she thought. She was half way to her apartment when she remembered Lizzy.
