She folded in any sleeves and pant legs that stuck out from the sides of her suitcase before closing the lid, “That Tina’s mother was sick” Again, Melvin’s tone was calm and even. “I am not one for gossip” Bette

    Again, Melvin’s tone was calm and even. “I am not one for gossip”

    Bette whipped around to glare at her father, “It’s not gossip if it’s important information about my girlfriend”

    Melvin remained unfazed as he stood in the doorway, “From my understanding, she is no longer your girlfriend”

    Bette scoffed and crossed her arms, “Yeah, thanks to you. You put all these things in her head to ensure she would break things off with me. You had no right to do that, you knew what she meant to me”

    Bette paused and waited for some type of reaction from her father. He remained as cold and uncaring as ever, fueling Bette’s anger even further.

    She pressed a finger into her chest, “I cried the entire way to the airport that night I left for Stanford while you sat beside me and said nothing. You just sent me off to school with a broken heart without one ounce of regret”

    Melvin shrugged, “And yet you survived that broken heart and became one of the most successful women on the East Coast. As far as I’m concerned-”

    “As far as I’m concerned, you shaped my life to be exactly how you wanted it to be without any care as to how it would affect me” Bette placed a hand on her chest before clenching it into a fist, the pain in her heart becoming hard to bear. “I may be successful, daddy but it was at the expense of my happiness. Maybe you were fine with sacrificing love for success but what happened with mom should have been a clear sign that it wasn’t the right choice”

    Melvin was taken aback though he recovered surprisingly quick, his expression harder than ever before. “Your mother-”

    “My mother-” Bette cut him off, her tone even more forceful than her father’s. “-left this house and this family with a broken heart because you chose work over her”

    It was silent between them for what seemed like a lifetime. Bette waited, prayed for her father to show some type of emotion. His expression as stone cold as ever and the brunette sighed with defeat.

    3. Nothing ever seems to turn out the way Bette and Tina plan. There is always an obsticale to over come. It makes for a good story. Keep going, this is a good story.

      • You know Bette had it all planned out go home dump Em then get back to Tina.. oh and not to mention she wanted to see Tina that evening…fuck that she will be caught off guard and fuck it all up between Emma and Tina.. she is going to be put through the ringer… because Emma already knows something is up…and as soon as she sees Bette near Tina.. she will know what that something is…Poor Bette..

    7. Oh shit indeed!!!

      Wtf is Emma doing in town, is she a stalker now?! That will be a weird meeting when Emma realize that she met her competition to Bette’s heart and Bette is on her way to the bar…. Drama is coming!

      But Emma must know she will never have Bette’s heart and she should walk away in grace and don’t try to fight a lost cause. And Bette should tell Emma asap that she ends their relationship and send her away to NY!

      Thumbs up for Bette that she finally stood up to Melvin, well done!!!

      Tasha and Alice are a very funny pair together, the way Alice act and react to the teasing Tasha, so cool to see!

      OMG, as everybody pointed before me, shit is about to hit the fan; and I want to see, rather read that.

      What the hell is Emma doing there, Bette told her to wait and no to come, well, now a bloodbath is about to happen.

      I hope Bette won’t chicken out and say nothing to Emma.
