    Dana pursed her lips as she folded her hands over her stomach, her eyes once more focused on the ceiling. She cleared her throat, dreading her next words. “Lara was sitting in a booth with that same woman from the other day so I took a seat a few rows behind them. Not even two minutes later the home wrecker was pointing me out to Lara. They thought I was some type of creep and came at me with their rolled up utensils. It was a whole thing”

    Alice snorted before straightening her face when Dana glared at her again, “So what happened?”

    “I took off my disguise before they got close enough to do any damage. After that Lara and I argued about my horrible spying and the lack of trust”

    “Well, she’s not wrong about the spying thing” Alice mumbled only to wince at the harsher glare she received. She placed a sympathetic hand on Dana’s shoulder, “I’m sorry Dane. Did she at least confess to what she’d been doing?”

    “No” Dana sighed heavily, “She just told me that I should have trusted her and that I’m going to feel real dumb when I find out what she’s been up to”

    Alice’s eyebrows knitted together, “What’s that supposed to mean?”

    “I have no idea” Dana groaned as she leaned forward to rest her elbows on her thighs, rubbing her tired face with her hands. She peeked through the gaps between her fingers and spotted the cold glass sitting on the coffee table in front of her, “Is that wine?”

    She grabbed the glass before Alice even had a chance to answer, chugging the contents much to her best friend’s disapproval.

    “Take it easy, lightweight” Alice gently pulled the glass away before Dana could drain every last drop, pursing her lips when the brunette greedily took back the glass.

    “Fine, I’ll just open another bottle”

    Just as Alice poured herself a fresh glass, there was a knock at the door.

    “I’m going to kill you” Was the greeting she received upon opening the door, a crossed armed Bette standing on her welcome mat.

    “Take a number” Alice rolled her eyes as she stood off to the side and swung an arm in the direction of her apartment, her wine glass in hand.

    1. Now we have a bigger mess….Brenda has hope that there is a chance with Tina. Tina wants Bette badly but is wondering if she will truly breakup with Emma. Emma is in some self-centered world in which she views Bette as her most adoring fan. And Bette is afraid that someone’s feelings are going to be hurt. News flash…seldom can two people end a relationship without one of the parties being hurt. So, Bette, if you really want to be with Tina, you need to just break up with Emma… just do it. As time goes by it will not get easier.

      Can we move the party fast forward or better, Bette has to break up with Emma ASAP!!!! She will be hurt anyway and B&T are hurting too.

      Emma thinks she was clever to invite Brenda and that stupid bitch still thinks she can pursue Tina.

      The party will be torture for B&T and for us readers.

    5. In last two chapters i really can’t decide is Emma a very narcissistic and absolutely not playing attention on anybody else besides herself, or she just dumb.
      I guess we’ll find out in next updates.
      By the way – thank you for the chapter!

I feel the love.. do do wish Bette would just tell Emma… this my back fire and it seems more cruel to go through with the party pretending especial if she has friends coming..now your bringing Breada back into the mix Jesus. But I see the drama your creating, it a fun read..they all seem to have a touch of Alice in them lol.. Emma so blind but i had a feeling she my be the devil if poked hard enough.. thank you sorry so late reading..
