    Our First Christmas…Chapter 2

    Previously:

Tina hit the disconnect button, smiling and shaking her head at the antics of her crazy friend. But quickly her thoughts turned back to her wayward girlfriend and just how she was going to get her to open up. As she was thinking of just how she was going to broach the subject, she was gathering her purse and keys because she was resolving this issue today not matter how much Bette fought her on it. Time for a little ***** kicking.

Tina’s POV As I pull up to Bette’s driveway I’m still having trouble with the warring emotions in my head. I know I should be calm and understanding about how difficult Christmas time is for Bette; but her behavior over the last week or so has hurt me so much. When I see her car parked there anger wins out. She told me she was going to be working late and now she’s home at six o’clock! She’s definitely going to get an earful about this.

I stomp up to the stairs and start knocking angrily on the door. I don’t stop until I hear her approaching foot steps on the other side. She’s yelling at me to stop not realizing who’s at the door and just how pissed off I am now.

“I’m coming, Jesus! You don’t have to knock the ***** do…Tina, what are you doing here?” Her irritation is replaced with a questioning look as to my presence.

“Well I’m not sharing a lovely dinner with my girlfriend, that’s for sure!” She immediately knows I’m pissed and steps out of the way to let me into the house. I storm right in and start ranting. “So this is working late, is it? God, you couldn’t even come up with a good excuse not to see me so you just out right lie. Thanks a lot.”

“For your information” and she stresses the word information to convey that she’s not happy with my outburst “my last meeting cancelled on me and I jot got home a little while ago. I wasn’t aware that I had to check in with you during every waking moment”

“You don’t have to check in, but the occasional phone call would be nice. And were you planning on seeing me at all in the next two days or do I not rate on your ever important to do list.”

    1. That was fantastic. Tina was right in holding her own against Bette, and poor Bette that totally sucks. Maybe Tina could go to her parents but surprise Bette by getting there before she wakes up Christmas morning. Dealing with families is always tuff, but I’m with the others if mine hadn’t been accepting, they’s loose. Thank God they have no problem hanging with me and my friends, they even invite them to all the family functions.

    2. What an emotional chappy! Way to go Tina for sticking to your guns. I’m glad that she didn’t let Bette push her away. There’s no way Tina can leave Bette alone for Christmas now! I agree with Lamentamini, if Tina’s family doesn’t approve, f*** em! Can’t wait for the next one.

    3. So emotionally charged and sad. Bette finally opened up to Tina about her lonely and sad childhood. Very well written, filled with lots of passion and love. Thanks for the update, please post soon.

    4. Very good and well written chapter, so raught with emotions. I am glad that Bette was able to open up to Tina and they worked their way thru it, but it seems that Tina has put herself between “a rock and a hard place”. Plwase post again soon.

    5. I totally agree with allyemmerson…that was one hell of a chapter, so emotionel and loving. So important that they are communicating about this and their feelings. Please post more and I will definitely read…

    6. That was so sad but I am sooo glad they can confront the probablem.. Tina needs to either stay or tell her parents Bette is coming with her.. Post soon Great story..

    7. what a wonderful chapter. I think T should haave a change of heart about the approval of the parents. she should tell them that Bette is her best friend and either she comes with her or Tina stays home!

    8. Tina can’t leave Bette after a discussion like that, can she? You gotta stay with your woman or take her with you. Tina needs to figure out that Bette is now her immediate family and should come first.
