“No, but she mentioned that it’s a coming out party and we need to bring a lot of Xanax and beer.”
“You can’t mix these two, is she crazy?” Dana yelled in frustration.
“Apparently, Xanax is for you, beer for everybody else,” Shane laughed. “Relax, Dana. It’s Friday, we are going to see our friends, and you can finally spent time with Alice after her long absence. Let’s try to have a good time.”
“I’ll try but I swear…sometimes Alice makes me so mad but then she does something absolutely wonderful and romantic that makes it impossible for me to stay angry with her any longer.”
“Well, all I can say that if you stick with Alice for the rest of your life it will never be boring and predictable,” Shane said with a smile.
“At the rate this relationship is going I might want something uncomplicated and boring pretty soon.”
“I hope you are not talking about going to men,” Shane said, amused by Dana’s growing irritation.
“God, no…” Dana said with such a serious look on her face that Shane couldn’t hold in her laughter anymore. They both laughed and continued talking about Dana’s latest tournament.
After they got to Dana’s apartment Shane suggested to go to Tina’s house together. “While you’re getting ready, I’m going to go pick up Carmen from the studio. I’ll call you when we are ready to leave. Is one hour enough for you to get ready?”
“Make it an hour and a half.”
Place: Los Angeles, CA – Tina’s house
Year: Oct. 21, 2005
Tina woke up with a strange feeling of tranquility. This feeling, though not new to her, was highly unexpected. ‘Wow,’ she thought, stretching her muscles and turning her face toward the morning sun. ‘I don’t remember sleeping so peacefully in the last ten years. No tossing and turning…no nightmares. I know I had a very pleasant dream. What was it?’
Trying to remember last night’s dream, Tina got off the bed and put on some shorts and a tank top. She usually liked to sleep in the nude but with other people in the house she suddenly felt self-conscious and decided to at least wear her panties to bed last night.

You’re on a roll B&TF. This must be just a s confusing to Tina…wondering why she should have such strong feelings for a picture from so many years ago. Somehow I feel that Tina will prove to be the reincarnate of Christina. I can’t wait for your next chapter…hope to see it Friday.

Hey there! Sorry for the absence. Life has been crazy lately and I just caught up. This is going really well. I love how you portray all of Bette’s successive emotions at all the new things that she’s discovering. I feel for Tina, who’s quite certain of her feelings and can’t do nothing but wait for Bette to ‘catch up’ … I feel that it’s gonna be really interesting to see how Bette gets to know more about Tina and actually falls for her and not for Christina. Looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds. Thanks and PPS!
