Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 22, Part 1
She went to the kitchen first to start morning coffee, trying to be quiet and not disturb Alice who was still fast asleep on a sofa. Her limbs were spread everywhere and she reminded Tina of a restless puppy who was chasing somebody in its dreams.
Tina went to check on Bette and saw her sleeping on the right side of the bed, hugging the pillow and breathing peacefully. Tina smiled and noiselessly closed the door of the guest bedroom, going to her bathroom to get ready for a new day.
Bette opened her eyes and tried to figure out where she was. The room was small, nice and clean, with lovely pastel colors on the walls. The bed was comfortable and Bette felt completely rested.
She took a deep breath and again noticed a faint trace of a scent that was beginning to be so familiar and pleasant to her. “Tina,” she whispered and smiled, suddenly remembering the events of the previous day. Bette closed her eyes and drifted to sleep again with a huge smile on her face.
Place: Los Angeles, CA – on the way to Tina’s house
Year: Oct. 21, 2005
“Dana, please hurry. We already late for the ball,” Shane was calling Dana after getting her message that she wasn’t ready yet.
“Yeah, Alice and a white rabbit will be really disappointed,” Dana answered bitterly.
“What’s wrong? You sound really irritated…are you still mad at your girlfriend?” Shane asked pulling in front of the house.
“I’m not irritated…I’m totally fine,” Dana answered, coming out of the house. She hung up the phone and got into the car.
“Hi Carmen…I’ve had enough time to think and you’re right, Shane…I’m just so fucking mad at Alice. She disappeared for three months without a phone call or a message, and now she invites us to a party and expects me to be all lovey-dovey. She better have a damn good excuse or we’re done.”
Both Shane and Carmen were wise enough not to say anything so Dana could let off some steam before reuniting with her girlfriend. Finally they arrived to Tina’s house and as soon as Alice saw Dana entering, she pulled her into a passionate kiss. As angry as Dana was, her heart melted at such an expression of love.
“I missed you, baby,” Alice said affectionately and the rest of Dana’s frustration disappeared.

I do love this Bette and Tina. Thanks for reposting this story!!
You’re on a roll B&TF. This must be just a s confusing to Tina…wondering why she should have such strong feelings for a picture from so many years ago. Somehow I feel that Tina will prove to be the reincarnate of Christina. I can’t wait for your next chapter…hope to see it Friday.
The differences between Tina and Bette’s dilemmas are so striking. I am so moved by Bette’s courage. Eagerly waiting for your next chapter.
That was great !
Hey there! Sorry for the absence. Life has been crazy lately and I just caught up. This is going really well. I love how you portray all of Bette’s successive emotions at all the new things that she’s discovering. I feel for Tina, who’s quite certain of her feelings and can’t do nothing but wait for Bette to ‘catch up’ … I feel that it’s gonna be really interesting to see how Bette gets to know more about Tina and actually falls for her and not for Christina. Looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds. Thanks and PPS!
Hey, I’m really sorry I’m soooo late on commenting, but I was away for a little while. This chapter was great though. Off to read the new update !
