    Chapter 27, part 1: Love is in the air (morning after and Bette and Tina have…a conversation)

    (Previously) Bette looked at Tina with tears in her eyes and whispered in return, “Tina, do you like me even a little?”

    “Oh Bette, you have no idea,” Tina replied, feeling her own tears coming down.

    “Then don’t stop, please,” Bette whispered again and put her left hand on Tina’s neck, pushing her towards her starving lips. After what seemed like an eternity of tender and passionate kisses and whispers, they both finally came up for air and rested their foreheads on each other’s shoulders.

    “I think we should stop. We are both so vulnerable right now and we need to be ready. I want everything to be perfect and right now I feel so nervous and so helpless, I don’t want to ruin anything,” Tina said, hoping that she was making the right choice.  

    “Yes, you are right,” Bette replied, relieved but sad at the same time. All she could think of was the blissful sensation of happiness entering her body when Tina was holding her close. “But I don’t want to be alone right now. Can I stay with you the rest of the night? Can you hold me, Tina?”

    “Any time you want…every time you want,” Tina responded, gently caressing Bette’s hair.

    She took Bette’s hand and led her to the master bedroom. They both got under the covers and Tina put her arm around Bette’s waist, holding her really close and tight with an unsaid promise of never letting her go. Almost immediately their bodies recognized other’s comfort and nearness and the emotionally exhausted lovers finally found solace and long awaited sleep in each other’s embrace.

    Place: Los Angeles, CA – Tina’s house
    Year: Oct. 30, 2005 – Sunday

    Tina woke up Sunday morning feeling the sun rays blinding her through the open drapes and also sensing that somebody was staring at her back. ‘Bette,’ Tina thought with a smile and turned around.

    She found Bette propped up on her left elbow and looking at Tina with intensity.

    “Morning, Bette, is everything okay?” Tina asked, smiling at the stunning beauty in front of her.

    3. Thank you B&TF for posting another chapter. I know you have a lot of other writing to do, but I really do love this story and look forward to your updates. I particularly loved the way you wrote Bette and Tina shyly feeling their way toward each other. You could really feel Tina wanting to rush forward and declare her love for Bette, but pulling back so she wouldn’t frighten Bette. And you couls also feel Bette’s guilt…she loved Christina, but she feels that same love now toward Tina…and she doesn’t quite know how to handle it. Well written and I’ll be here whenever you can post the next chapter.

    4. B&TF- I’m not one who comments often but I LOVE this story. You are doing a great job with it and my eyes light up when I see that you’ve updated it so please keep it up. I can’t wait to see what happens and if Bette chooses to stay in the future with Tina. I’m nervous about what will happen when Alice lets everyone know what she found out on her trip. Maybe this will somehow show that the meaning of the inscription on the minature is that Tina is just like Christina and therefore the one to be ready for.

Well, as you may remember I had enjoyed your previous chapter very very much as I thought it was incredibly enthralling, but… Well, I don’t think this is going to come as a big surprise to you : I have loved this one as well… As for comments, I must confess that even though I was among those who left you a few words last time I am as guilty as everybody else for I had not commented on the previous 2 chapters, I believe ( mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa ! )… The thing is I’ve been having very very little time to read fic lately ( and yet, I love all your stories and I had not read this one when you originally posted it so this is even more thrilling for me ), so when I do catch up on my reading I usually read 2 or 3 chapters in a row and I only a comment on the latest one, thinking you might not go back and read “old” comments… Anyway, my point is, so far, there isn’t a chapter in this story that I found boring or even just so-so… I have enjoyed every single minute of reading and, trust me, there aren’t many fics out there I can say the same thing about… I can’t wait to see what’s coming !     14. Hey BT&F.. I love this story, in fact all your stories. This one is quite interesting.. it is never easy to write a sci-fi love story especially the storyline of time travel and trying to connect the lives of the characters of their past and present lives, creating one storyline that is believable.. You pulled this off brilliantly. It will be interesting to see how you will resolve the complicated lives of our favourite couple. I already read the original version, and so looking forward to your next update.. Thank you.

And I must say that your details about archives searching has been everything but boring. I found it very interesting, especially since it’s related to what you do. I love the way this story is going and I’m impressed by your mind’s engineering! Great stuff there! So Bette “wants to fall in love” with Tina? I thought she was already in love with her… But I guess it’s all very complicated with Christina and everything, and that she will confess her love in time… Finally, I wanted to say that I totally understand what you mean about “needing” the comments. I agree that it’s generally not the number of viewers that makes my day but the comments on my story. It’s important to me to know what the readers think. So I love the poem and I can only agree with every word! Please don’t give up nor slow down with this story, I love it and want to see it continue towards its resolution. Please, please, please! I love this story and am so so happy that you are continuing with it again. I can’t wait till you reach the part of the story you stopped at initially so that I can know what happens next.
