“Yes, everything is perfect,” Bette smiled in return, keeping her gaze on Tina.
“Why are you staring at me, bab…Bette?” Tina practically choked on the last word. She called Bette ‘baby’ in her mind for so long that it was hard sometimes to keep this term of endearment inside her head.
“I don’t know, I just can’t take my eyes off of you,” Bette replied sincerely, blushing at the sight of Tina’s immediate Cheshire Cat-like smile.
“Well, in that case I don’t mind if you’re staring at me…I don’t mind it at all,” Tina answered happily.
They continued to look at each other intently for some time until Tina broke the silence and asked somewhat nervously, “Bette, can I ask you something?”
“Yes, of course,” Bette replied, feeling her body get a little tense in anticipation of Tina’s question.
“Can I kiss you?” Tina asked, holding her breath for an answer.
“Oh, yes, absolutely, Tina…” Bette was really excited at the promise of another kiss and he felt the stress leaving her body as quickly as it came. “And you don’t have to ask next time, I would like to be surprised.”
Tina flashed another happy smile and slowly leaned towards Bette. She swallowed nervously and bit her bottom lip before pressing her lips to Bette’s cheek.
“What was that?” Bette asked in surprise, pulling herself away from Tina and looking into her hazel eyes.
“Well, you wanted me to surprise you. Were you surprised?” Tina answered nonchalantly.
“Yes, you know I was,” Bette answered, sounding a little upset. “It was not what I was expecting.”
“Bette, baby, if I would do things that you expected from me, where’s surprise in that? You might get bored,” Tina asked teasingly, not realizing that for the second time this morning she called Bette ‘baby’.
It didn’t go unnoticed by Bette but she decided to ask about this later. Instead, she smiled at Tina and said, “I don’t think it is possible to get bored with you, Tina. I think you are full of surprises.”
It was Tina’s turn to look at Bette with amazement. “So are you, Bette, so are you, absolutely sur…” it was all that Tina was able to utter when suddenly Bette swiftly leaned towards Tina and placed a quick but sensual kiss on her lips.

Thank you B&TF for posting another chapter. I know you have a lot of other writing to do, but I really do love this story and look forward to your updates. I particularly loved the way you wrote Bette and Tina shyly feeling their way toward each other. You could really feel Tina wanting to rush forward and declare her love for Bette, but pulling back so she wouldn’t frighten Bette. And you couls also feel Bette’s guilt…she loved Christina, but she feels that same love now toward Tina…and she doesn’t quite know how to handle it. Well written and I’ll be here whenever you can post the next chapter.
B&TF- I’m not one who comments often but I LOVE this story. You are doing a great job with it and my eyes light up when I see that you’ve updated it so please keep it up. I can’t wait to see what happens and if Bette chooses to stay in the future with Tina. I’m nervous about what will happen when Alice lets everyone know what she found out on her trip. Maybe this will somehow show that the meaning of the inscription on the minature is that Tina is just like Christina and therefore the one to be ready for.

Hey there ! Well, as you may remember I had enjoyed your previous chapter very very much as I thought it was incredibly enthralling, but… Well, I don’t think this is going to come as a big surprise to you : I have loved this one as well… As for comments, I must confess that even though I was among those who left you a few words last time I am as guilty as everybody else for I had not commented on the previous 2 chapters, I believe ( mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa ! )… The thing is I’ve been having very very little time to read fic lately ( and yet, I love all your stories and I had not read this one when you originally posted it so this is even more thrilling for me ), so when I do catch up on my reading I usually read 2 or 3 chapters in a row and I only a comment on the latest one, thinking you might not go back and read “old” comments… Anyway, my point is, so far, there isn’t a chapter in this story that I found boring or even just so-so… I have enjoyed every single minute of reading and, trust me, there aren’t many fics out there I can say the same thing about… I can’t wait to see what’s coming ! Hey BT&F.. I love this story, in fact all your stories. This one is quite interesting.. it is never easy to write a sci-fi love story especially the storyline of time travel and trying to connect the lives of the characters of their past and present lives, creating one storyline that is believable.. You pulled this off brilliantly. It will be interesting to see how you will resolve the complicated lives of our favourite couple. I already read the original version, and so looking forward to your next update.. Thank you.

And I must say that your details about archives searching has been everything but boring. I found it very interesting, especially since it’s related to what you do. I love the way this story is going and I’m impressed by your mind’s engineering! Great stuff there! So Bette “wants to fall in love” with Tina? I thought she was already in love with her… But I guess it’s all very complicated with Christina and everything, and that she will confess her love in time… Finally, I wanted to say that I totally understand what you mean about “needing” the comments. I agree that it’s generally not the number of viewers that makes my day but the comments on my story. It’s important to me to know what the readers think. So I love the poem and I can only agree with every word! Please don’t give up nor slow down with this story, I love it and want to see it continue towards its resolution. Please, please, please! And if you do slow down, I can only hope that it’s to the benefit of your secret agents’ story, which I love as well. I love this story and am so so happy that you are continuing with it again. I can’t wait till you reach the part of the story you stopped at initially so that I can know what happens next.
