“…prising,” Tina finished when Bette ended the kiss and pulled the brunette back to her, slowly kissing Bette’s face and devouring her beautiful lips.
They both were completely out of breath by the time that kiss ended and regretfully moved away from each other, instantly wishing to be back at the same place they were just a minute ago.
“Tina, can I ask you something?” Bette asked shyly.
“Of course, Bette, you can ask me anything and the answer is always Yes.”
“Well, I don’t want you to answer Yes to everything. What if I want to go back to my own bedroom right now and leave you alone?”
“Oh…well, yes…no, I don’t want you to do that.”
“You see?”
“Okay, but you can still ask me anything.”
“You called me ‘baby’ a minute ago. Is it normal to call a grown-up person a baby?” Bette asked curiously.
“Bette, you are so cute,” Tina laughed softly and explained, “It’s a term of endearment between two grown-ups who care for each other or love each other, like husband and wife or two girlfriends.”
“So, does that mean you care for me, love me or that you are my girlfriend?” Bette asked again, trying to understand what kind of connection they had between them that was still as powerful this morning as it was from the moment she saw Tina.
Tina lowered her eyes for a brief moment as if gathering her strength and then looked back at Bette. “Yes, yes and…yes, if you want me to be,” she answered honestly, somewhat afraid of Bette’s reaction.
Bette didn’t respond right away, instead she lay back down on her side of the bed and stared at the ceiling, silently processing the information.
Tina’s heart began pounding, and her eyes quickly filled with unwanted tears. ‘Damn, it was too soon, I pushed her and now she’s back behind her walls. What should I do? Damn…’ Tina was frantically thinking, while giving Bette her space.
When Tina could stand the torture any longer and was about to say something, she heard Bette inhaling deeply as she turned her head to Tina.
“What does it mean to be somebody’s girlfriend?” Bette finally asked, after looking at the blonde for a few minutes.

Thank you B&TF for posting another chapter. I know you have a lot of other writing to do, but I really do love this story and look forward to your updates. I particularly loved the way you wrote Bette and Tina shyly feeling their way toward each other. You could really feel Tina wanting to rush forward and declare her love for Bette, but pulling back so she wouldn’t frighten Bette. And you couls also feel Bette’s guilt…she loved Christina, but she feels that same love now toward Tina…and she doesn’t quite know how to handle it. Well written and I’ll be here whenever you can post the next chapter.
B&TF- I’m not one who comments often but I LOVE this story. You are doing a great job with it and my eyes light up when I see that you’ve updated it so please keep it up. I can’t wait to see what happens and if Bette chooses to stay in the future with Tina. I’m nervous about what will happen when Alice lets everyone know what she found out on her trip. Maybe this will somehow show that the meaning of the inscription on the minature is that Tina is just like Christina and therefore the one to be ready for.

Hey there ! Well, as you may remember I had enjoyed your previous chapter very very much as I thought it was incredibly enthralling, but… Well, I don’t think this is going to come as a big surprise to you : I have loved this one as well… As for comments, I must confess that even though I was among those who left you a few words last time I am as guilty as everybody else for I had not commented on the previous 2 chapters, I believe ( mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa ! )… The thing is I’ve been having very very little time to read fic lately ( and yet, I love all your stories and I had not read this one when you originally posted it so this is even more thrilling for me ), so when I do catch up on my reading I usually read 2 or 3 chapters in a row and I only a comment on the latest one, thinking you might not go back and read “old” comments… Anyway, my point is, so far, there isn’t a chapter in this story that I found boring or even just so-so… I have enjoyed every single minute of reading and, trust me, there aren’t many fics out there I can say the same thing about… I can’t wait to see what’s coming ! Hey BT&F.. I love this story, in fact all your stories. This one is quite interesting.. it is never easy to write a sci-fi love story especially the storyline of time travel and trying to connect the lives of the characters of their past and present lives, creating one storyline that is believable.. You pulled this off brilliantly. It will be interesting to see how you will resolve the complicated lives of our favourite couple. I already read the original version, and so looking forward to your next update.. Thank you.

And I must say that your details about archives searching has been everything but boring. I found it very interesting, especially since it’s related to what you do. I love the way this story is going and I’m impressed by your mind’s engineering! Great stuff there! So Bette “wants to fall in love” with Tina? I thought she was already in love with her… But I guess it’s all very complicated with Christina and everything, and that she will confess her love in time… Finally, I wanted to say that I totally understand what you mean about “needing” the comments. I agree that it’s generally not the number of viewers that makes my day but the comments on my story. It’s important to me to know what the readers think. So I love the poem and I can only agree with every word! Please don’t give up nor slow down with this story, I love it and want to see it continue towards its resolution. Please, please, please! And if you do slow down, I can only hope that it’s to the benefit of your secret agents’ story, which I love as well. I love this story and am so so happy that you are continuing with it again. I can’t wait till you reach the part of the story you stopped at initially so that I can know what happens next.
