    Dana gives Alice a majorly big surprise and Tina cleans Bette up in the bathroom.

    Alice ran her fingers through the soft brown hair, enjoying the elicit moans that came from Dana as she stroked her scalp.

    Dana pulled her head from Alices stomach and gazed longingly into the eyes that returned the same desire and love that she felt. Alice, she spoke her voice shaking again. She thought that she should be used to this. She confessed her love to Alice every day for a year and unknowingly kept it to herself for several more. She counted to herself trying to build her confidence and resolve.

    Alice giggled, Are you counting? She noticed Danas lips moving in a sort of trance.

    She found herself smiling, having been caught red handed. Her heart pounded so fast and hard she could hear it in her ears. Alice, will you marry me? She held open the tiny black box she had removed from her pocket, a large diamond ring glittered in the fluorescent lights.

    Alices eyes widened and her mouth dropped. After what felt like an eternity she spoke, I think I need some time. Danas face visibly fell, the disappointment clearly evident in the teary eyes. Alice touched her lovers face, Did you really think I was going to make it that easy for you? You should know me better than that.

    Dana wasnt sure what Alice was setting her up for, I love you so much and I would love for you to be my wife.

    Ask me again.

    Uh, um will you marry me and be my wife, Alice?

    Alice knelt down in front of Dana, their faces in line with one another. Yes. Yes! She leaned forward, kissing Dana who was still in disbelief that Alice had actually said yes. Why are you so nervous? You should be used to this by now, Alice jibed. When Dana didnt respond, Alice changed the direction of the conversation sensing that the previous engagement was a sore subject. Hey, would you? She held out her hand.

    Dana kissed the top of Alices hand before placing the ring on her finger and then kissing the ring. We should go back out there. If you dont mind, Al, can we not tell them right away?

    3. Great start – i love it – and have to agree with sulky – there is something intriguing and yet off about jenny wiritng a tory on alice – but really a great story – loved the bathroom proposal.

    4. i love this! not just cuz its alice and dana but cuz its pure genius. great story. keep ’em comin’. there aint enough stories about dana and alice on here

    5. Why do I like the prospect of Jenny writing a story about Alice? I don’t know why, I’ve seen the kind of things she writes, and it creeps me out, but still…

      So, I’m getting married in two months, so I’m SUCH a sucker for anything to do with weddings and engagements and all th at, so when Dana asked Alice to marry her, I did a little squeal and a cheer followed by a “Yay!” So obviously, you know how much I liked that, because it was so sweet.

      But I think the best parts of this story are the little things, like the food caught in the teeth; the mouthed rather than spoken conversations; the subtle facial and body cues that alert what each other to what the the other is feeling. It really establishes the relationship and does a fine job of denoting the passage of time, because it takes a while to build up something like that, even if they were best friends. I’m looking forward to more updates!
