    Shane and Dana meet.

    Alice’s phone made an annoying sound as it screamed at the two sleeping women. Dana was just about to get up and destroy the offending object when a hand pulled her back down to the pillows. Alice gave Dana a soft kiss then got out of bed and sauntered to the other end of the room, not bothering to put any clothes on she stood having a conversation whilst Dana admired the view.

    “Hey there Shane, how you doing?”

    Dana couldn’t hear the response of the other woman who she had a mixture of feelings for, all of them ended with her wanting to pummel the lights out of her. How could another human let a total stranger put themselves through so much just to help? Sure, Alice and Shane were friends, but they hadn’t been when Alice had offered to help, had they? Maybe they really had been something more? Dana was brought back to reality when she heard Alice softly call her name.

    “Sorry, what did you say?”

    “You were miles away, anywhere nice?”

    “Nah, the views better here.”

    “Well as much as I’d love to stay here and be your personal nature attraction, I’ve got to go.”

    Dana’s face fell when she heard this.

    “Where you going?”

    Alice was rummaging around trying to find some clothes to wear.

    “Got to meet Shane, have to sort stuff out.”

    Alice paused and looked at Dana; the brunette had an adorable mix of concern with a touch of sulkiness all over her beautiful face.

    “What’s that face for?”

    “I just don’t want you to go.”

    “Aww there’s no place I’d rather be than in bed with you. Unfortunately I’ve gotta do this. You wanna come? Meet the other woman in my life?”

    At this Dana jumped out of bed and started to pull on some jeans and a shirt. She didn’t like Alice calling Shane her ‘other woman’ but she didn’t want Alice to be alone and in possible danger, she also wanted to check out her competition for the blonde’s affections.

    Alice laughed at Dana’s eagerness and carried on getting ready, she kept on stealing glances at the brunette as she fixed her hair and smiled when she realised that Dana wasn’t running from her. After all that she had found out about the blonde, she was still willing to stick around.

    4. So excited to see you back!! We are really being blessed with lots of Danish goodness this weekend. Excellent update, felix86! I love how Alice is allowing Dana further into her life. It is telling that Dana can see when Alice is somewhere she feels safe and somewhere she does not. They really do have a deep connection. The Shane/Dana meeting was done perfectly. Dana’s anger and jealousy at first and then the acceptance that Shane is juts a very close friend. I am very curious as to Dana’s plan. I know she has the money to pay, but, I doubt Alice would let her — and the guy would just want more money. I hope your schedule permits and you post again soon! Thanks for the great chapter!!

And I must thank MaGoose for commenting before me on this one and the other 3 posts this weekend, saying mostly how I feel. Really pleased to see D & S were off to a good start.
