Her heart suddenly skipped a beat when she remembered what was in her glove compartment.
Looking behind her, she reversed quickly.
As she steered the car on to the main road, her mind began to do overtime…
Who would want to kill her?
They didn’t steal anything…
Maybe they were just trying to frighten her?
Who would put a knife in her seat like that?
And why?
“Soooo…what did the police have to say about your stalker then?” Bette asked carefully.
“What? My, where did that totally unromantic question come from?” Helena asked smiling in surprise.
“Mmmm…I was just wondering that’s all.” Bette smiled and glanced over at her.
“So…what did they say?” she continued softly, looking at the road again.
Silence.
Bette slowed the car and glanced over at her quickly.
“They didn’t say anything…I haven’t reported it as yet.” Helena replied calmly but yet, to Bette, she looked like the cat that ate the canary.
“You’re kidding me right? You promised Helena!” Bette asked in confusion and disbelief.
“It’s just some stupid prank Bette. The bugger’s probably laughing at me as we speak…” Helena protested.
She crossed her arms and shut her eyes, leaning her head back onto the head-rest.
Bette indicated right and pulled the car onto the shoulder.
“Hey, what are you doing?” Helena asked in confusion.
“Turning around…” Bette replied and looked around to reverse.
“Why? What’s the matter?” Helena asked.
“You have to report him…” Bette answered, manoeuvring the Saab slowly.
“Him? How do you know it’s a him?” Helena looked puzzled.
“Her then! Jesus!” Bette glanced over and rolled her eyebrows, grinning at her.
“What are you laughing at?” Helena pouted.
“You!” Bette laughed, pressing on the brake pedal.
“Me! What did I do?” Helena asked in confusion.
“Nothing…you should have reported this ages ago Helena…gosh are you always this stubborn?” Bette asked, turning the steering wheel and accelerating.
“Me?! Stubborn?!” Helena protested.
Bette smiled, “Mmm, you know what? It’s ok actually. It’s a quality about you I thought I couldn’t stand…but I think I’ve changed my mind now.”

Bum..Bum…Bum…….the plot thickens!!I love the officer’s response to Bette shouting that she was Helena’s lesbian lover. Perfect way to take the edge off the story. Tina better leave my Belena alone, or else Helena might not be responsible for her actions. And how the HELL did Tina get into Helena’s house???
Nesh, I’ve been reading about human behavior and decided to apply it to FF reading. We (FF readers) usually choose small tortures in small increments (cliffhangers once a week) over larger tortures with bigger delays in between ([cliffy + 1 wk wait] every…week? O_o That doesn’t make sense >: Did I confuse you now? haaaaa…ehhh me too) But anyway..you seem insistent on forcing the latter on us (the worst of the 2) Hmm though it’s also true that people are willing to wait longer for a bigger reward. :) As for story analysis, erm, I just like being told things, so I leave that to the others (and I kind of suck at it *cough*) Was Tina standing in the dark with a flashlight under her face? pwahaha creepy ‘__’ Wow…I really don’t want to write my paper if I spent this much time writing a comment. mrr….

Ok, Nesha…Berry, berry cool! So happy that they reported the incidents…to dumb and dumber (LOL Clar)…what is up with typing challenged cops and do they really still use typewriters? Its ’06 for goodness sakes. Now, what the ‘L’ is Tina doing there?
Why is Tina there? What does she have like radar or something to detect when Bette is about to bed Helena. Great, this will definitely put a damper on what Bette and Helena had started (dang it!). Back to this stalker business….I’m intrigued. Who could it be? I’m guessing it’s a guy, but whom??? Please post soon Nesha, I just love your story.

I’m with vvitvh on this one. “He” is dropped several times so my spider senses are telling him it’s a man that’s doing the stalking. Or you could just be saying ‘he’ to throw us off the scent. Might the stalker be Tina? BTW – for a woman that is no longer with Bette, what gives her the right to just come in the damned house? She was there before Bette and Helena. Ok, PPS!!

Great chapter Nesh, it really brought back some memories of police stations that I’ve visited. There are so much dumbasses overthere, you just can’t believe it. I know you are a tease but this time you sure spoiled us with it, him/her I’m anxious to know. And last but not least I just love your cliffhanger…I’m curious what Tina has to say now. Well, Nesha, I suspected the stalker was Tina right from the start, but I’m pretty sure you just want to give us a false lead here, you naughty girl… LOL ! It’s been awhile since we have last seen Tina, though, and we know she was at the Planet when Bette found the knife in her car… She might even be suffering from multiple personality disorder, who knows ? Anyway, that police officer was indeed pretty funny. At first, I thought that he was pissed because Bette and Helena had interrupted him and his colleague’s dumb and dumber’s contest. LOL ! I’m so looking forward to reading your next chapter as Tina is going to have a lot to explain. I just hope she’s not going to try and blow Bette’s chances with Helena. That would be so pathetic and unfair of her at this point. But don’t they say “everything’s fair in love and war” ? Oh, well, don’t keep us waiting too long, please, I really want to know if Tina’s going to turn into Norman Bates’ mother or if she’s going to try and rationalize the situation.
Tina being the stalker is too easy. Maybe it’s Winnie…or Dylan. Or maybe it’s still Helena. Or maybe I just really don’t know and will wait for the next post…lol.
