“Hey you”
Carmen and Shane stood staring at each other, neither of them quite sure what to do.
“Can I come in?” Shane asked.
“Umm..”
“It’s ok I can stand here all night”
Carmen had to smile “Come in”
Shane stepped nervously through the door and looked round the house that was still technically her home.
“You…um…want a drink or anything?” Carmen offered.
“I’m fine baby”
Their eyes met again and this time Carmen felt her composure start to slip. She felt the first tear trickle down her cheek, but all the while maintained eye contact with Shane. Telling herself not to break down, she became aware of the music coming from the radio.
I recommend getting your heart trampled on to anyone
I recommend walking around naked in your living room
Swallow it down, what a jagged little pill
It feels so good, swimming in your stomach
Wait until the dust settles
Watching the tears fall down Carmen’s cheeks, Shane’s resolve began to fade. She couldn’t see the women she loved cry over her and not cry too. Soon her tears were falling as freely as Carmen’s, but still both of them made no move.

You lose you learn
You bleed you learn
You scream you learn
The tears became sobbing as the words of the song rang in their ears, along with the sight of each other crying. Shane took a step towards Carmen and held up her hand. Mimicking Shane’s movement, Carmen raised her hand and pressed it palm to palm with Shane’s.

Slowly and deliberately Shane folded her fingers around Carmen’s, squeezing her hand gently as they continued to stare into each others eyes.

I love this story . . . I don’t know why all you authors have the abilty to make me cry, lmao. I feel really bad for Bette. I’m glad Shane and Carmen are taking things one step at a time . . . it’s so cute them just lying in each others arms, that’s so fuckin’ cute!! Wonderful job, please continue! As much as I hate song fics, this is really good! Very emotional, and some of the better written stuff on this site.

So much emotion. Your writing is great. I usually skip over Sharmen stuff in stories, but I love yours. I’m in physical pain for Bette. Tina… I don’t know. I want to see Bette move on, but somehow the Tibetter in my just can’t let go.
the songs are great, and i’m glad that at least carmen gives it another chance unlike tina and my heart is breaking for bette, i hope real tina will come back

I think we will be looking a long time for the Tina we knew and loved. It just wasn’t Bette affair,it was a lot of thing. Henry will never be proud of Angie and will try to make Tina the same way, Ashamed of her mix heiratage Glad that Carmen is going to try to give Shane another chance. When Tina understands that one mistake does place you on the floor and for everyone to wipe their feet on.Then she might come back. Lets see if Bette get new bedroon furniture and redo the bed room. thanks

Hey there BealsBaby, You are certainly post them fast and loose. And want fabulous chapters they are. It is heartbreaking to see Bette and Tina at each other’s throats as Shane and Carmen slowly and delicately move back into each other’s arms. This was a piece of poetry as the mistakes of the past were dealt with and a new brighter day began. If only Bette and Tina could recapture some of their past desire and understanding.
