Part 29 Finale A
The rising sunlight shone brightly into Raquel’s room. The bright light woke Helena. As she came to her senses she found herself alone in Raquel’s bed. She was panicked when she looked around and didn’t immediately find Raquel. She pulled on her clothing and tidied herself up enough for public viewing. She needed to find Raquel. They needed to talk about what happened last night. What it meant for her and more importantly what it meant for them. She felt an intimacy from Raquel that made her feel loved and protected. It felt truly like Raquel was making love to her. She had done something like this the night they went home together when she brought her family to the restaurant. She took her time that night getting re-acquainted with Helena, but last night felt much more tender, more intimate and potentially final. The tender touches on the face, the kisses, the tears all felt good to her soul. It felt like a warmth and comfort she lacked in her other relationships. Raquel took the chance of showing her love even in the face of losing her to someone else. This was the security she had been lacking. She wanted someone who would show her, “I’ll love you, I’ll show you, I’ll let you go if that is what you want.” But the letting go wasn’t what she wanted.
In the day that Raquel was away from her she realized just how much she missed her. It wasn’t the sometimes over the top sexy Diva persona that captured her heart. It was the private, soft, gentle caring person that so few got to see. There was no baggage between them. No reminders of past failures and disappointments. She had protected her heart for so long after Dylan’s betrayal. She had lost her confidence in love but after reconnecting with Dylan she realized, after all this time, the failure was not hers but Dylan’s. She could believe in love again and she could allow herself to love again. She could empathize with Dylan’s past but she found in watching the video, the love she longed for was Raquel’s. She did not want Raquel to feel last night was just a last fling or fuck. It was intimate. It was very special for her. She needed Raquel to know this.

SQUIRLY-WHIRLY! (: When I read this ending, I couldn’t help but smile, smile and smile! Wow. Raquel really has such a magnetic personality! Not to mention, I’m such a sucker for women with an accent. Cough. Helena Peabody. (: This ending was romantic, beautiful and everything that I could possibly imagine! Plus, I love the song you used for your summary! (: I think that your other ending is going to break my heart because Helena will have to say farewell to Raquel. Sigh. I completely agree with your convincing bit in your Author’s Note. I think that you will be having to convince me as well why Dylan deserves Helena. There will be a lot of forgiving to do in that ending, and I look forward to seeing how you play the entire thing out. (: This was a very happy-happy-joy-joy kinda ending. I likey. Damn! A samba band. OK, that was clear. So eunichick, which accent do you like better, the Brazilian one or the English one? OK, now that the bags are packed, let’s see how Helena deals with her baggage.

I hear what you are saying about Helena…and yeah we don’t know alot about her, but in all honesty we know more about her than Tina and even without a great deal of back story or confessions, it hasn’t been difficult to understand or empathize with how she was feeling. I don’t think I ever want anybody else to try.” is a L of alot different than what she said to Dylan…so I’m anxious to see the alternate ending!!! Hey and don’t forget even in sliding doors, she ended up with the same guy! :) Loving it!! *dancing* PPS

Whoa! Now that Brazilian is one hot woman! I love her passion and her enthusiasm for life. I wish Helena could have them both – Hmmm. I can’t hide my true colors – although I have grown to love Racquel; I’m still in love with Dylan and Helena. Can’t wait for more and I’m sorry to see the story end.
