    Reconciliation Part 29 Finale A

The band dressed in various Carnival costumes stopped playing and stood by quietly. Paulo and Raquel took off their headdress and presented it to Jun and Wilson. Jun and Wilson jumped up and down with glee over their new gifts. Raquel also called over some members in the group who gave them a portfolio of the photos taken yesterday. They hugged Raquel and almost knocked her off the 3 inch heels she was wearing. They excitedly showed Helena their photo collection to their mum who found herself staring only at Raquel in every photo and alternatively looking at the live version that stood before her. She excused herself from the kids and stepped in front of Raquel who was smiling from ear to ear. She took one of Raquel’s hands and placed it on her heart. “I want you to feel this. Nobody has ever made my heart race and skip a beat like this, nobody. You don’t even have to be dressed in your Carnival wear, all you have to do is walk in a room and my heart skips a beat. I know I love you and after last night I know you love me. Last night was incredible. It’s all I have been thinking about since I woke up. I’ve never had anybody ever touch me the way you did. I don’t think I ever want anybody else to try.”

Raquel kicked off her heels to get closer to Helena’s height and stepped closer until their hips pressed together. She held Helena’s hand with both of hers. “Eliana, my God, what have you done to me? You have made me just crazy for you. I can’t look at another woman without comparing her to you. There are a lot of beautiful women here but none of them can compare. All I want is you. I decided this morning that I was going to fight for you. I did not want you to leave without me telling you this so you can understand it.” She leaned in, closed her eyes and kissed Helena’s lips lightly. She then spoke softly in Helena’s ear. “I am Raquel. I am adored by men and women worldwide. I can usually have whatever I want but none of that means anything to me right now. I would give it all up to have you. All I want is you and to have you want me.” She kissed Helena’s forehead, then each cheek, telling her in a different language with each kiss, “Eu te amo. Te amo. Je t’aime.” Then finally in English she spoke so Helena could clearly understand, “I love you.”

Their kiss was tentative at first but as they smiled it deepened. When they broke from a brief kiss, Helena’s tears flowed as she repeated the words she spoke just days before but this time she had no doubt, “I love you too. I adore you. I want you and only you.”

Raquel held her tight and said it again, “I love you Helena. Eu te amo meu Eliana.” She stepped away and shouted “Oba! Jogue a música!(Play the music.)”

The band picked up and the dancers lead by Paulo and Raquel began dancing again. Raquel turned around and danced away. Helena could see Raquel’s perfect Brazilian ass shaking to the samba beat was covered only by glitter. Helena laughed to herself as she watched this enchanting woman hold her children’s hand to dance with her. She thought as she considered the scene, “Oh my God. What have I gotten myself into? Can I handle this?” As she watched her lover dance joyously with her children, she nodded and concluded. “I am Helena Peabody, successful heiress to Peggy Peabody. I have been disinherited, homeless and penniless and I survived it. I love her and I can handle this.”

Despite the noise of the revelers Helena’s song for Raquel began to play in her head.

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes – aah!

When she walks, she’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes, each one she passes goes – aah!

    1. SQUIRLY-WHIRLY! (: When I read this ending, I couldn’t help but smile, smile and smile! Wow. Raquel really has such a magnetic personality! Not to mention, I’m such a sucker for women with an accent. Cough. Helena Peabody. (: This ending was romantic, beautiful and everything that I could possibly imagine! Plus, I love the song you used for your summary! (: I think that your other ending is going to break my heart because Helena will have to say farewell to Raquel. Sigh. I completely agree with your convincing bit in your Author’s Note. I think that you will be having to convince me as well why Dylan deserves Helena. There will be a lot of forgiving to do in that ending, and I look forward to seeing how you play the entire thing out. (: This was a very happy-happy-joy-joy kinda ending. I likey. (; See you at the next ending sequence. xoxo

    2. Damn! A samba band. OK, that was clear. So eunichick, which accent do you like better, the Brazilian one or the English one? OK, now that the bags are packed, let’s see how Helena deals with her baggage.

    3. Ooohh that is my new (old) favorite song! I hear what you are saying about Helena…and yeah we don’t know alot about her, but in all honesty we know more about her than Tina and even without a great deal of back story or confessions, it hasn’t been difficult to understand or empathize with how she was feeling. I will definitely say this….”…Nobody has ever made my heart race and skip a beat like this, nobody….I’ve never had anybody ever touch me they way you did. I don’t think I ever want anybody else to try.” is a L of alot different than what she said to Dylan…so I’m anxious to see the alternate ending!!! Hey and don’t forget even in sliding doors, she ended up with the same guy! :) Loving it!! *dancing* PPS

    4. Squirl, I can not breath again, like euni I’m smiling frome earlobe to earlobe doing a little dance even. I don’t know that I will be able to read the other endings. I like this one. You do rock my friend and I thank you for this exquisite story. Md

    5. Whoa! Now that Brazilian is one hot woman! I love her passion and her enthusiasm for life. I wish Helena could have them both – Hmmm. I can’t hide my true colors – although I have grown to love Racquel; I’m still in love with Dylan and Helena. Can’t wait for more and I’m sorry to see the story end.

    6. Well Squirl, this is exactly what I wanted so thank u and no I won’t read the other ending…I don’t think…u created such a wonderful character with Raquel. i absolutely believed in her ability to love helena. thk u.

    7. I like this ending its romantic that Helena realised she coldnt go back and to move forward. Am i interested to see the DyLena ending though.Good work.
