    Afterwards they lay in each other’s arms, no words needed as their breathing slowed. Tina spoke first.

    “Help me through this Baby. Remind me when I get off track. I don’t want to ever hurt you again, but I know that’s impossible…so when I fall please catch me and know I am trying”.

    “I will Tee, I will…and you do the same. That’s all I ask Baby. That we work together”. They retreated to the shower, reeking of sex and combined arousal. Under the steamy water, they kissed lazily, Bette tasting herself in Tina’s mouth and Tina reveling in the feel of Bette’s tongue on her own.

    Bedtime came quickly after that and they curled up naked together with Tina spooning Bette and holding her tight. “Love you Baby” she said softly, running her hand up and down Bette’s stomach. “Love you too Tee” Bette said, and she reached for Tina’s hand to hold it close, sleep coming for them both. This was how the bed was supposed to feel.

    The next morning Tina woke early again to go for a long, hard run. She dressed quietly, her running shorts and tank already laid out with her shoes and socks. She paused before heading out to look at her wife, sound asleep in their bed. Bette Porter had no worries when she slept. She looked so at peace, content and…and…just lovely. Her hair was swept back showing her graceful neck and the angle of her bare shoulders. The sheets barely covered her up to just under her waist, the slope of her backside not quire showing. She was on her side with the curves of her breasts suggesting more underneath as her arms covered them. One leg stuck out, muscular and the color of honeyed coffee. Bette was breathing deeply, evenly. It was a vision to Tina, how had she almost let this go? On a whim she left Bette a note, something that she rarely did. Bette was the note writer after all, the poet, the dreamer. “On a run but only you make my heart race – T” she wrote and put it on her pillow.

      I am so proud that they are talking about their feelings and how Bette expressed her hurt to Tina. She was so right that they have to share and trust each other so that nobody can hurt them and try to come in between them.

      I love your writing style!!!

    3. Fantastic !!! and yeah that’s true, I found season 6 a little botched, with more questions than answers and that’s why I’m infuriated at the thought of the new show, we’ll never get the answers !

      • Sorry to hear you have had a rough time of late, hopefully you are on the other side of what ever is going on! Thank you for your kind words (again) and for loving this story. I agree that Bette was always more tender, and open about her feelings and Tina was more reserved on the show. I am hoping to show that Tina still needs some work in this area, but that she is finally trying. I cherish their relationship too and hope we can all experience something close to this in our own lives…..
        Look for the next chapter Friday, assuming I can get my work done this week. It is written but I proofread obsessively and often change the story on the final read through….
