They both showered lazily and then spent quality time just lying in each others arms content. Bette looked into Tina’s sleepy eyes as they began to close. I keep thinking that you must be a dream" Bette confessed.

"Then we’re having the same dream love," she said softly smiling. Tina drifted off to sleep safe in her lover’s arms only to awaken to the sound of Bette screaming her name..

Back to the present, Tina felt she had to do something drastic to erase Bette’s insecurities. From the things Bette had revealed in the car, it sounded like Bette had been been deeply hurt by the women she had loved in the past. Those relationships had all been one-sided so Tina hoped by demonstrating her love daily, Bette would soon lose her fears. Bette had been in love with Sara and Cami but those relationships had no where to grow because both women couldn’t return her feelings. Now, Bette was just finding it hard to believe someone could return her love and desire when it had never happened before. It was Tina’s job to convince her and she was up for the challenge.

The nightmare was still fairly fresh in Bette’s mind so Tina asked her about it. "It was terrible T, you were dying and I couldn’t save you. I could hear this heart monitor slowing down as your life force drained from your body and I was frantic. Then you spoke to me and told me to be brave. I mean here you were about to die and you were worried about me." Bette said sadly.

"What did I say?" Tina asked snuggling closer to Bette.

"I don’t remember exactly but you said you weren’t afraid and told me not to cry," Bette said wiping a stray tear from her eye, "and then you said that you would love me forever and we would meet again."

"Sounds like a smart woman," Tina tried to joke. "That’s what I would want to say to you if something were to happen to me," Tina said frankly.

"Don’t talk like that," Bette said rolling away."I don’t think I could go on without you."

"Bette you are the strongest person I know. I think these feelings and doubts you’re experiencing are part of everyone’s make up. My stupid behaviour with Janice probably brought them to the forefront of your mind which is actually a good thing. We can deal with them now and exorcize them from the recesses of your consciousness forever. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith. Remember I spoke about my instincts leading me to you? Listen to yours, what are they telling you about us?" Tina said pulling Bette back towards her.

Bette had listened closely to Tina’s words and realized the truth. If she kept worrying about what might happen she would lose out on what WAS happening and right now the woman in her bed loved her. Bette decided to show Tina with her body how much she was loved in return.

Tina trailed kisses across Bette’s chest, "I love you Bette, please love me," Tina begged feverishly.

"Tina! " Bette managed to croak out as the myriad of sensations swept her body. "Whatever you want to give me babe, I want," Bette said huskily.

Tina stopped her travels and moved quickly back up to Bette’s mouth, sliding her tongue inside deeply causing Bette to moan again. "Everything love, I give you everything. Every part of me is yours to have." Tina vowed. "Take me Bette, make me yours for always!" Tina begged.

Spurred by Tina’s words, Bette flipped the woman she had given her heart to over onto her stomach. "Wait here, I’ll be right back." Bette whispered kissing Tina’s ass cheeks before crawling away.
