“I will doc. I’m not going to make that mistake again. Tina? Is there anything else that I can tell you to reassure you? I know you were upset seeing Leigh holding my hand at the Planet the other day. If the physical contact bothers you I will refrain from it. It just seemed natural to greet her with a hug and kiss on the cheek since it’s how we greet our friends.”

“Bette I don’t want you treating Leigh any different than you would a friend or professional colleague. Emma, I will take your advice and find some private time to talk to Leigh this weekend when she comes to the house. I do think that it’s important for me to clear the air directly with her. She was very respectful of me when we met last week, and we all avoided any discussion related to her and Bette or Helena. I’m sure it will do us both good to just get that out of the way. I feel much better already just talking about it and getting it all out in the open.”

“That’s good. You guys are doing great. Let me know if it gets difficult to have the discussion with Leigh or if you want me to help you with that OK? I think it would be best to maybe leave it until the end of the evening when everyone else has left so that we don’t have meddling and speculation from your friends and family thrown into the mix.

“You’re right. We do have well-meaning friends but I can imagine Alice making an issue of things if she sees Leigh and I talking away from the group.”

“Well I think we had a great session today. Is there anything else either of you want to talk about?”

“I think that was the most pressing thing between us. I don’t have anything else. What about you babe?”

“I agree. I really wanted us to deal with Leigh and if you two talk on the weekend hopefully that will be the end of it.”

“OK. I’m sure looking forward to our gathering on Saturday. Suzie is already bugging me about it. The kids had such a great time together. We really do need to plan more joint activities with them.”
