    Savannah – Malaika

Tina was not fooled by Bette’s attempt at disguising the very real fact that they were stranded.

"Radio not working, huh?" Tina said simply nodding with a tilt of her chin to the console of the plane.

"No, it’s not," Bette answered with a visible slump of her shoulders.

Tina blew out her cheeks letting out a big breath to settle her racing heart and the increasing tension in her back.

"So what now?" she asked cautiously rubbing her hands on the swell of her stomach.

Bette looked at her watch. "The flight plan didn’t have us landing for another 45 minutes to an hour. No one will know that we are missing until then. They’ll probably leave it for another while after that just to allow for unforeseen delays."

Bette then looked up in the sky. "By the time they arrive to the conclusion that something has gone wrong, it’ll be dark and they won’t launch any rescue until dawn."

Tina locked eyes with her wife, "Looks like we are sleeping here then?"

Bette nodded and pointed to the mess in the back of the plane. "Somewhere in there, is food, water and a gun. I am going to tidy all this and we’ll wait for the rescue team.

After cleaning herself up, washing and dressing her various wounds, the vet set out to work, organising a tidy and secure den for their forced overnight camping trip while Tina looked on, confined to inventorying what Bette was finding as she shifted boxes and rescue kit from the back of the small plane.

Tina wanted to help, finding movement the best option to the ever increasing pain in her back but Bette kept telling her to rest. So she had sat there, on a box, sipping at the water bottle that Bette had found for her.

The blonde knew her wife had her best interest at heart but found the overbearing attention somewhat frustrating and before an argument ensued, decided to take a walk.

Slamming her bottle down, she got up, not without a small wince, from the wooden crate which had served as the makeshift seat muttering under her breath. "Since I’m not needed, I’m going for a walk."

    1. Wonderful story. Seems Bette can never say no to Tina even when she knowws she should not give in to Tina’ wishes. When you truly love someone, it is very difficult to say no. 5. Ok, after having two babies, I can totally understand Tina’s urgency to pee! hahaha!!!! I was laughing out loud. Almost died in a horrible plane crash and her biggest problem: the desperate need to pee and couldn’t get the seatbelt off! Priceless!
