“Dana…” Shane said confused. When she didn’t answer she poked her. “Dana!”

“WHAT, DAMN IT CAN’T YOU LET ME HAVE THIS MOMENT! SHE’S DEAD SHANE!” Dana yelled.

NO, she isn’t, she wasn’t even shot!” Shane said pointing at her shoulder. “The bullet grazed her shoulder…”

“what?” Alice said with her eyes closed. Dana looked down at Alice whipping her eyes. Alice opened them. “oh my god I’m not dead?” Alice said checking her shoulder. Dana growled and pushed her away. “Damn it Alice your such a bitch!” Dana got up.

“Hey, I ALMOST died” Alice said in her defense as she got up.

Shane shook her head and stood up pulling Carmen up with her. Tina grabbed the cell and ran back toward them. “Alright I got it- Tina looked at Alice. “What the fuck Alice”

“Don’t Alice me, I felt like I was dying!” Alice yelled. Tina lunged at her. “OH you’ll feel it now” Shane grabbed Tina. “Tina!”

Tina sighed and pushed Shane off of her. “Damn it…damn it!” she yelled again.

“Tina relax…” Alice said.

“Don’t tell me to fucking relax Alice, Bette is dead! Fuck! How am I supposed to look at Angelica and tell her that her mother is dead!” Tina started to cry again. Alice sighed and went over to hug her. “Not like she’ll know the difference really…- I mean I’m sorry Tina, I am” She held her close as Tina cried on her shoulder.

“Bette’s dead?” Dana asked.

Everyone looked over at her. Shane sighed and sat down trying to gather her thoughts.

Alice pulled back from Tina. “Listen… I’m going to find where they put um- Bette and we’ll take her and we’ll give her a proper burial ok?” Alice said hoping at least Tina would find comfort in that. Tina nodded a bit but didn’t say a word. Alice got up and didn’t dare looked down stepping over Marina and Tim’s bodies. Alice headed for the door. “Wait Alice” Shane said. “Helena is still missing and who ever else she’s dragged along into this mess.

Alice smiled. “No worries Shane, I’m sure Helena is lying out flat somewhere…”

“What are you talking about?”

“Come see for yourself”

Shane got up and followed Alice out into the main part of the factory. “Holy shit Al”

“yep”

Shane caught sight of Lara’s body. “Maybe uh Haven put Bette’s body with Lara?”

“Damien”

“what?”

“It was Damien who was psycho I have a feeling that Haven was just guilty by association”

“I am so confused I rather we left it at that”

Alice and Shane walked over and sure enough the body bag Alice has seen earlier was laid there next to Lara. Alice went to open it but Shane stopped her. “Don’t”

“why not?”

“Look, I was there when she uh- you know when she died and I don’t think you want to see”

Alice nodded. “Hey, it’s not your fault”

Shane shook her head. “It is- I called her and told her to come”

“Shane-

“But I didn’t know what to do! He was going to kill Carmen… but I didn’t think he’d kill Bette I swear! Fuck, Tina is going to hate me forever”

Alice put her arm around her. “Don’t worry Shane ok? We’ll keep this between us. Bedside’s I think I would have done the same to save Dana”

Shane sighed. “Somehow that doesn’t make me feel any better Al”

Alice shrugged. “We’re only human Shane” Alice got up and grabbed one end of the body bag while Shane grabbed the other. They picked it up and walked out away from Lara’s body. “Should we put her in the van?”

“You mean the van that seems to be holding the factory together?”

“Right” Alice walked backwards as Shane directed her over the rubble carefully exiting outside. As they made it outside the sun was just coming up. As Alice and Shane contemplated on what to do. They heard sirens closing in on them.

“oh now they come” Alice spat as she saw the squad car, after squad car pull in around surrounding them.
