“Michelle, are you sure we’re almost there?” Bette asked
They had been driving for almost an hour now and all they could see were trees and corn fields. Bette Porter and Michelle Kennard had been the best of friends since their freshmen year at Yale and both were majoring in Art History and on their last year together in college Bette had finally agreed to come to Michelle’s annual holiday vacation in her hometown in Marion, Iowa.
Every year the Kennards celebrate Christmas in Marion at their ancestral home and it’s always a must for everyone to come regardless of which part of the country they’d be coming from. Michelle and Bette decided to be there a couple of days before Christmas to spend more time however Bette will just stay there for 4 days. Bette Porter was an only child and her dad and mom were already in Europe traveling. Bette’s parents had been doing this for the last three years and each year they would insist in tagging their daughter along and was only successful this time but Bette opted to come first with Michelle as it was their last Christmas together before they graduate and will join her parents after four days so she could be together with her family on New Year’s Eve.
“Bette for the Nth time we’re almost there okay? So put your earplugs on and just listen to that damn iPod!” Michelle said impatiently. In the years that they’ve been together as best friends one of the traits that she’d develop was patience and being a close friend of Bette Porter one should definitely have a very long patience. However there were some instances that she just couldn’t help but snap at her friend and this was one of those. She took a deep breath and resumed her focus on driving
“Okay fine I’m gonna sleep so just wake me up when we get there” Bette said
“That’s the best thing that you have ever said this entire trip you know!”
“Haha that’s very funny” the brunette replied but in a sarcastic tone
When people see them in this kind of state, one would think that they hated each other but the truth was they loved each other like sisters. Others would sometimes think that they were lovers because everyone knew that Bette was a lesbian while Michelle’s sexuality was still a puzzle to them.

Hi ladies! I know this is late but still I want to greet you all Belated Merry Christmas! I know some of you are waiting for a new chapter of Lover in the Dark, but forgive me I’ve been busy due to the holidays and can’t bring myself to write a new chapter. Please don’t think that I’ve forgotten you all so Instead I would like to repost an old Christmas story that I wrote 3 years ago and I guess not everyone was able to read it the first time so I want to post it again if that’s alright(; I was also inspired by my awesome fellow TiBette fan fiction writers and friends tibettenation1, Pie_Fair and robynTibetter so I thought why not add entertainment to all of you amazing ladies who haven’t read this (; BTW This is a 3- part short story and I also did little revisions and corrections as you know English is not my native language so I hope you enjoy even for the second time around and if you still see some mistakes just kindly disregard it (;
By the way just want to say the amazing and talented Pie_Fair has made me a sexy and i mean a sexy cover for Lover in the Dark and will show that once the new chapter is complete so please watch out for that.
Of course I remember this story, as the song says, it is unforgettable!
I loved it the first time I read it. Why wouldn’t I? A magical story of a 70 year old Tina with a beautiful young Bette and intertwined with the wonderful ‘Unforgettable’ song that I remember so well from my late teenage years. I loved reading it even more this Second Time Around, Thank You.

Aww yeess this story that had me crying for days…i was so happy when they found each other after so long…and a grandma Tina you had to love it. How come this story has been posted a second and yet it just as beautiful, fantastic, amazing, awesome as before

Phacey it was really a good idea reposting this story. I enjoyed rereading it as much as I enjoyed reading it for the first time. But I like this better… with a quite different ending.
It’s a wonderful magical story. It makes me think that if I have a funny Fairy God Mother like Alice and if she would ask me, “If you will be given a chance to change something in your past will you do it?” then maybe I will consider it… changing something in my past.
By the way, Bette’s bestfriend Michelle, I like her name… it reminds me of a very good friend… someone sooooo dear to me.
