    It almost looked like she had this planned all along. And she was prepared for its consequences. “You poor fool, think you’re so smart huh?” Her voice was gentle, but the displease in it was obvious. She sat there, stroking the brunette’s skin as she nagged on. A twitch at the corner of Bette’s lips

    A twitch at the corner of Bette’s lips didn’t go unnoticed, as if the woman asleep found it amusing.

    “It’s not funny. I was so worried, you know? I was so worried something might happen to you. I just got you back…” Tina cooed as she abandoned the wet cloth and rested her head against Bette’s good shoulder, breathing the prison’s musty oder that lingered.

    A small whimper escaped the brunette’s throat, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. She turned her head in the direction of Tina’s soft skin, her lips brushed across the smoothness in a way that resembled a kiss. Even in her deepest slumber, her muscles remembered how to love the woman.

    It was well into the afternoon, before Morris got his reply. Homeland Security was finally able to locate the boarder patrols bought in on criminal activities by the drug lord, who were then later sold to a human trafficking group.

    “So, she’s honest. Now we should hear what she asks for in return of the rest of her black book.” Jenny piped up and led themselves back into the interrogation room where they kept the brunette all morning.

    Bette wrote down a list of names, aliases, whereabouts, and functions. She also flagged out several people who potentially would testify against Jacob. “I don’t care what you do to me, all I’m asking, is that you leave Tina and everybody else out of this. I was the perpetrator, I dealt drugs, I shot fires, and I’m not saying I don’t regret my actions, but it’s something out of my control.”

    Morris bent forward to snatch the paper out of Bette’s hand, but unsuccessfully so as Bette demanded his promise. “Fine.”

    “Write it down, sign it, and hand it to her.” When the federal agent hesitated to weigh the gain and loss, the brunette threatened with the list close to her mouth, “or my digestive system gets the names and nobody gets anywhere.”

      I don’t actually know how the agencies work in the US, I just looked them up in wikipedia and bullshitted a lot. Anything to bring the two back together, ya know?

      Shout out to Bibi, pikiangelica, dunn, wkm, tanishaa, lip, and all the other silent viewers. You’re the reason I keep writing. I’m thankful that you stuck with this story during the darkest time and bumpy roads lol. From now on, it’s gonna be a pretty smooth ride.

    5. Well I have something to say, I’m mad at you Robyn because this story is not supposed to end yet… I want more.. I love this story, it’s great and different and great and yeah really great… So I’m not ready for the last chapter.. I want sappy but I also want more… And if we have to have a last chapter please make it with lots and lots of loving-NC-17 type loving and very very long with lots of cute sappy moments and great conversations.. And information on what happens to other key players…

    6. Well HELENA is a good guy after all. TINA was right to call him on this and defend BETTE.YEAH you got the agencies right all about self and not about sacrifices of the one doing the work.now let’s really get these two off by themselves so the healing can begin and thanks for posting.

    10. Wonderful chapter. This has been areal nail biter for me, I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two. Maybe you could even do a little something special for Helena for helping Bette out. The feds are trying to take all of Bette’ money but I’m sure she probable has some stashed so she and Tina can start their new lives without having to worry about being poor. PPS :)
