    No one including Kit or Tina knew that when Bette left the club that evening and got home she’d walked fully clothed into the swimming pool and floated on the surface face down. She’d held her breath but she knew it wouldn’t take much to just let go and let the water enter and fill

    No one including Kit or Tina knew that when Bette left the club that evening and got home she’d walked fully clothed into the swimming pool and floated on the surface face down. She’d held her breath but she knew it wouldn’t take much to just let go and let the water enter and fill her lungs. Nobody knew that part. They only knew that she left the club abruptly after watching Tina dancing with Helena to the song Kit was singing to them on this day.

    Tina could see the pain in Bette’s eyes as the song continued to play and Kit’s strong voice filled the room. She took Bette’s hand and led her to the dance floor. She was as determined as Kit to change Bette’s memory of this song into something good. For her part she wanted to replace her own memory of sharing the dance with Helena that night when it should have been Bette. She remembered when Bette left the club and she remembered wanting to run after her.

I love you babe. I’ll never hurt you like that again I promise. Let’s make a new memory tonight.” Bette responds to Tina’s soft voice, touch and coaxing. They hold each tightly as they dance. Tina starts kissing Bette tenderly and cautiously but soon the passion overtakes them and they are making out on the dance floor. The next verse of the song is appropriate to what they are now experiencing in each others arms.

      • evy, thank you for encouraging me to re-post it. I actually enjoyed reading it again myself. I had forgotten a lot of the wonderful moments shared by Bette, Tina and Angie on their journey to three hearts one home. It’s coming to an end. One more chapter and then the finale.

      For me it is like reading it for the first time.
      Their commitment ceremony was absolutely amazing, how they included Angie and all the people Who are dear to them. It brought tears in my eyes.
