    They used traditional table settings for the placement of cutlery, goblets, and the various plates. White linen napkins were folded and placed on top of the dinner plates, and name cards were placed directly above. No doubt the placement cards was Bette’s idea.     They used traditional table settings for the placement of cutlery, goblets, and the various plates. White linen napkins were folded and placed on top of the dinner plates, and name cards were placed directly above. No doubt the placement cards was Bette’s idea.

    They opted not to have the entire bridal party sitting at one big table. Instead they had Bette, Tina, Angie, Kit, Peggy, and Monica seated at table one. Monica was the limo driver but she was included in the family celebration as she’d become good friends with Kit. Alice was seated with Jamie, Julie, Paul, Mark and Karina at table two. Seated at table three were Shane, Leigh, Phyllis, Joyce, and Carmen. James and his family (Lisa, Zach, Joey, Sophie) were seated at table four, and Emma, Liz, Dani, Cindy, Jackie, and Suzie were seated at table five.

    Bette and Tina had carefully selected a five course menu that gave each guest a choice of three options for appetizer, soup, salad, and entree. They had a dessert and coffee bar and the meal included a variety of bread rolls. The adults had a choice of red or white wine with their meal and of course there was soft drinks and water available as well.

    They also had kid friendly choices for the meal courses. Angie helped with those selections since she knew what her cousins and friends would like. Once everyone found their seats, the servers took their orders. Each course was served by the hotel wait staff quickly and efficiently with Lara as the overseer.

    Kit stood up and said a table grace before everyone started eating. “We thank you Lord for the food we share tonight, in celebration of Bette and Tina’s commitment. We thank you for the love, and support of family and friends. We thank you for making this day so enjoyable, and bless those that have worked so hard to make it a success. Thank you Lord. Amen.”

    Everyone enjoyed a great meal and lively conversation at each of their tables. They complimented Lara, Bette, Tina and Angie on their wonderful selections. Since the wedding cake was part of the dessert options they took time after the entrees had been cleared for the cake cutting ceremony. Angie had waited all day for this moment. Tina knowing she had to fulfill her promise on the ‘wedding cake’ smashing fantasy feared what Bette might do.

      • evy, thank you for encouraging me to re-post it. I actually enjoyed reading it again myself. I had forgotten a lot of the wonderful moments shared by Bette, Tina and Angie on their journey to three hearts one home. It’s coming to an end. One more chapter and then the finale.

      For me it is like reading it for the first time.
      Their commitment ceremony was absolutely amazing, how they included Angie and all the people Who are dear to them. It brought tears in my eyes.
