    Bette once again picks up Angie and kisses her on the cheek. Tina leans in and kisses her other cheek and the parents lean towards each other and kiss on the lips. Bette puts Angie down and they turn to face their guests. “Ladies and gentlemen may I present Elizabeth, Christina, and Angelica Kennard-Porter.” Carmen

    Bette once again picks up Angie and kisses her on the cheek. Tina leans in and kisses her other cheek and the parents lean towards each other and kiss on the lips. Bette puts Angie down and they turn to face their guests.

    “Ladies and gentlemen may I present Elizabeth, Christina, and Angelica Kennard-Porter.”

    Carmen cranks up the music as everyone blows out their candles and welcomes the family with a resounding round of applause. The only thing more breathtaking than the lakefront setting with the mountains in the background and the glow from the setting sun was the two beauties and their adorable daughter holding hands as they walk down the center aisle amongst loud cheers and applauding.

    Kit takes Jackie’s hand, Alice takes Sophie’s hand, Shane takes Suzie’s hand, and James takes Joey’s hand and carries Zack as the bridal party follows the family in the recessional. Then the rest of the guests start making their way to the Reception Hall.

    The commitment ceremony was immediately followed by a reception in the lodge where they had dinner, music, dancing and of course cake. They would adhere to a few formalities but for the most part this was just a big party to celebrate love, family, commitment and unity.

    Lisa gathered Bette, Tina, Angie and their bridal party and posed them in various picturesque locations on the property for pictures. Once they finished with pictures they were again introduced and welcomed by the guest awaiting them in the reception hall.

    The lodge had two areas set up for the Kennard-Porter reception. One was a dining room where they would have a formal sit-down dinner and the other adjoining was a large space which had a bar setup, cozy seating, and a huge wood burning fireplace which was a welcome sight after coming in from the chilly outdoors. The room also had a large dance floor, a stage with a microphone, and next to that Carmen had set up her DJ booth.

    Carmen introduced the bridal party as they enter into the room to more cheers and applauds.

    “Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the Kennard-Porter bridal party. First we have our beautiful Flower girls: Jackie Stewart-Wilder, Suzie Phillips-Rothman and Sophie Bolen.” All three girls enter together and stand in the middle of the room.

      • evy, thank you for encouraging me to re-post it. I actually enjoyed reading it again myself. I had forgotten a lot of the wonderful moments shared by Bette, Tina and Angie on their journey to three hearts one home. It’s coming to an end. One more chapter and then the finale.

      For me it is like reading it for the first time.
      Their commitment ceremony was absolutely amazing, how they included Angie and all the people Who are dear to them. It brought tears in my eyes.
