    “Next we have our Ring bearer Joey Bolen.” Joey walks in and stands with the girls. “Standing up for Bette and Tina we have Ms. Shane McCutcheon and Ms. Alice Pieszecki respectively.” Alice and Shane walk in together and stand with the kids. “Our Mistress of Ceremonies; Ms. Kit Porter. Kit will welcome the rest

    “Next we have our Ring bearer Joey Bolen.” Joey walks in and stands with the girls.

    “Standing up for Bette and Tina we have Ms. Shane McCutcheon and Ms. Alice Pieszecki respectively.” Alice and Shane walk in together and stand with the kids.

    “Our Mistress of Ceremonies; Ms. Kit Porter. Kit will welcome the rest of the party.” Kit walks in goes to the stage and takes the mic from Carmen.

    “Thank you Carmen. Ladies and gentlemen please welcome Ms. Angelica Kennard-Porter escorted by her Godfather Mr. James Bolen.” James and Angie enter the room holding hands and stand with the rest of the group.

    “Now it is my distinct pleasure to welcome our beloved brides; Bette and Tina Kennard-Porter.” Bette and Tina enter the room holding hands as everyone gives them a standing ovation. You could see how overwhelmed they were by all the emotions they were experiencing on this special day. There was so much love in that room that you could feel it.

    Bette and Tina mingled with their guests and thanked everyone individually for coming. They got hugs and kisses and good wishes for a happy life together. Servers walked around with h’ordeuvres and wine trays. There was also an open bar for before dinner cocktails and soft drinks. They had a separate coffee, tea & hot chocolate bar for anyone that wanted something warm to take away the chill.

    Lisa took this opportunity to get several candid shots and videos of the couple and their guests. She videotaped each guest saying something special to Bette, Tina and Angie which would preserve this day in their memories forever.

    Everyone was ushered into the dining room about 45 minutes later. There were 28 guests total for dining so the lodge had set up five tables to comfortably accommodate 5 or 6 guests each.

    Each table had formal place settings with white linen table cloths and a beautiful floral centerpiece that was small in size as to not obstruct the view for the guests. Carmen had a selection of background music that was appropriate for dining and she kept the volume at a level that allowed everyone to converse easily without having to shout just to hear each other.

      • evy, thank you for encouraging me to re-post it. I actually enjoyed reading it again myself. I had forgotten a lot of the wonderful moments shared by Bette, Tina and Angie on their journey to three hearts one home. It’s coming to an end. One more chapter and then the finale.

      For me it is like reading it for the first time.
      Their commitment ceremony was absolutely amazing, how they included Angie and all the people Who are dear to them. It brought tears in my eyes.
