Chapter 53
Tina had been for a run and after a healthy breakfast she had spent an hour sitting making notes about her café. She needed to come up with a name for it – her dad had suggested that they simply call it “Tina’s “ but the blonde hated the idea – that was a little too grand for her tastes. So in the margins of the page that she was writing her notes she wrote down odd words which she hoped someone would get inspiration and come up with a name for her. After a shower, she had taken time and care to get dressed up. Emma was back from her cruise and had texted her an invite to another high class lunch date. There was no way Tina was going to refuse the offer of a trip to Bond45 – and it had the advantage of being really close to her apartment as it was in the heart of theatre district. She carefully packed her bag and after taking a selfie and sending it to Bette she headed out for lunch.
As soon as Tina walked into the restaurant she liked it – it had a great atmosphere and she loved the décor – and the fact that she could see all the food laid out behind huge screens.
“Darling “
Emma stood up at a nearby table. Tina took her mother in – what had three weeks away done for her? Well she looked fantastically tanned and wearing a light colored suit it really showed off her skin. Her blonde hair had grown out of its severe cut and she looked so much younger.
“Mom – you look amazing “
“Thank you – let me take a look at you – I have missed you “
They embraced – Emma sweeping Tina up and holding her tight “I love you so much honey”
“I love you too mom “Tina said – well this was a new mom for sure. “Let me look at that tan “
Tina looked at her again “You really look about ten years younger “
“Thank you – I like your earrings “

“Very nice – let’s sit down – the waiter will take your coat “

I loved the chapter, I hope whatever Bette found will give Emma the leg up she needs against Kate. I can’t believe what a bitch she is being. She should just take the settlement stay with her rich girlfriend and leave Emma alone. PPS
I love how this chapter unfolded. It takes a big person to admit that her mother was correct in a romantic situation. If Bette and Tina had attended the same college they wouldn’t have had an opportunity to develop their own personalities and appreciate what they had. After college, they could compare the fleeting hookups with their more adult relationship with each other. What was in the envelope must be significant.

yes I also think that if bette and tina had gone too the same collage they wouldn’t be together now and that’s very big of tina to admit another great chapter looking forward to the next pps.
What a grownup thing for Tina to admit that Emma was right. Her approach may have been harsh but they would have not been able to stay together at the same college. Too intense, too much drama. CSI Porter is on the job and Kate is going to get nothing but the clothes on her back if she is not careful. Did Emma have a PI on Kate or did Kate admit her affair in a letter? Bette and Tina are going to reap the benefits of being on the right side of Emma. Thank you for your dedication to the site and all time you devote to writing. Bring on some NYM.

Really good to Emma and Tina relationship is restored again.

Now Allye you know that chapter was way too short AND our curiosity is piqued. What was in the envelope? My question is if Kate has this wealthy new lover why is she trying to stick it to Emma? Maybe her new lover isn’t as wealthy as she seems and Kate is being scammed. Hmmmm. Please post again soon.
Great update , but in dying to know what was in the envelope? Was it related to the prenuptial agreement? And it’s just cruel of Tina to send her gf a selfie of her all dolled up and then runoff for lunch with mom…lol just so cruel

I hope Emma finds a new love as she seems to have mellowed and found new perspective. Can’t wait to learn what is in the envelope that Kate wants.
