    Tina had been at the gym and was feeling very healthy and virtuous. Her hour in the gym also had helped to calm her mind which was in danger of going into overdrive at the prospect of the next two days. If she and Bette could survive and even thrive over the next two days well they could look forward to a really great Christmas, Bette had a week of her term to go – then they would be able to seriously have a chilled time.

    Tina let herself into the building where her apartment was on the top floor. She took a look around the ground floor – the space that was going to become her café. She really needed to get on with designing the café and then getting her father’s feedback and then passing that onto a builder. Tina stood and daydreamed about her café for five minutes before going onto the first floor where her father’s restaurant was going to be. Her father was in his kitchen reading and drinking coffee.

    “Do you sleep here?” Tina asked

    He looked up and smiled at his beautiful 23 year old daughter

    “No – it just feels like it – not as much as it will in a few weeks’ time – how are you?”

    “Fine “
    “Where have you been?”
    “Library to get some books on space planning and then to the gym”
    “Very productive – you want a coffee – I have bought some cookies – what I really need is a café close by that will keep me in good coffee and cookies and tuna sandwiches”
    “Yeah – that would be useful “Tina grinned as she pulled up a stool and sat down. Matt made a coffee for his daughter and pushed the bag of cookies towards her

    “I really shouldn’t “Tina said

    “Why? You are very slim “

    “No – when have I ever worried about my weight? I am lucky that I can eat anything – I am only 23 remember “
    “True – you always did eat like a small horse and then burn it all off with how much you charged around”
    “Some things don’t change “ Tina said taking a cookie “So what are you up to ?”

    5. There has to be drama if the story is written by allyemmerson. I just hope that Emma and Bette bury the hatchet and……not into each other’s skull! Thank you for updating so frequently. That drives up the enthusiasm for each chapter. Maybe, Bette’s friend will be flirtatious with Bette in front of Tina. Bette likes to flirt/joke as well especially w/her friends. Familiarity and all that.

    7. Two in a row, wow. What a bonus for the midweek! I think Emma and Bette are going to bond over beer and dessert especially after Bette found the letter. I think Tina will be jealous over the friends so she and Bette will have hot make up sex. Thanks for posting.

    8. Two posts in a row, what a midweek surprise! I know that Bette will make nice with Emma for Tina’s sake. Fish, beer and dessert will make due. I hope Emma will want to show her gratitude for the envelope Bette found and make peace with the girls. Tina has no need to be insecure about Bette. She has her wrapped tight but some jealous make up sex would be great. Thanks Ally!
