    “How is Emma – have you seen her since she got back?”

    Tina nodded “Oh yes “

    Matt raised an eyebrow “Yes?”

    “This is the chilled version of my mother “
    “Chilled – chilled? Emma?”

    Tina laughed “Yes – this is the chilled version of my normally serious and strict mom”

    “Wow “Matt said as if he was struggling to get his head around that concept “Really?”

    “You have no idea”

    Matt smiled “She wasn’t always so serious “

    “I know – it just seems that way doesn’t it?”

    “Yeah – so she had a good holiday?”
    “Yes – she was so relaxed – we had lunch and guess what she got me drunk”
    “On vodka?” he remembered her getting home from their trip to the Russian Tearooms

    Tina shook her head “Amaretto “

    He laughed “Oh boy – how bad?”
    “Bette had to put me to bed for a couple of hours – she found me sleeping outside her apartment when she got home from college “

    “What did she say?”
    “She laughed a lot and carried me inside”

    “At least you were safe “

    “So you and Emma are bonding over alcohol fuelled lunches?”

    Tina nodded

    “Are you worried?”

    Tina sipped her coffee “They haven’t seen one another in four years “
    “You said that Bette had got over what happened “
    “She has and I know she feels that Kate has been shitty to her – it’s just nerves on my part. I want this to go well”
    “I am sure it will. If Emma has chilled “
    “She has – she isn’t going back to work until after Christmas – she said she is going to enjoy the holiday season – lots of theatre trips and shopping and drinking mulled wine”
    “What is she doing for Christmas ?”
    “We have an invite to the Porters”

      Now comes the big encounter. I bet it will be very good (in Ally Style) :-) I hope they manage to bury the past.
      Tina has been a little jealous? -I hope she knows that Bette madly in love with her.

    5. There has to be drama if the story is written by allyemmerson. I just hope that Emma and Bette bury the hatchet and……not into each other’s skull! Thank you for updating so frequently. That drives up the enthusiasm for each chapter. Maybe, Bette’s friend will be flirtatious with Bette in front of Tina. Bette likes to flirt/joke as well especially w/her friends. Familiarity and all that.

    7. Two in a row, wow. What a bonus for the midweek! I think Emma and Bette are going to bond over beer and dessert especially after Bette found the letter. I think Tina will be jealous over the friends so she and Bette will have hot make up sex. Thanks for posting.

    8. Two posts in a row, what a midweek surprise! I know that Bette will make nice with Emma for Tina’s sake. Fish, beer and dessert will make due. I hope Emma will want to show her gratitude for the envelope Bette found and make peace with the girls. Tina has no need to be insecure about Bette. She has her wrapped tight but some jealous make up sex would be great. Thanks Ally!
