    “Cookies – any going spare?”
    “Help yourself Bette”
    “Don’t eat too much – we have to be at the restaurant in an hour”
    Bette took a cookie and bite into it “I have had two hours of self defence classes today and an hour of gym – so I can have a cookie”

    “And you were bragging because of a trip to the gym “Matt said laughing

    “Three hours – gee – are you okay?”

    “Fine “
    “Not too tired?”
    “No – I hope your mom isn’t taking us to some up market restaurant where you get a single piece of asparagus and a teaspoon size portion of chicken”

    “I don’t know the restaurant “
    “I do – you will be okay Bette. If I was you I would try the beer battered fish and chips”
    “Fish and chips – that sounds like my sort of meal. “
    “And if you don’t upset Tina’s mom too much she might even stretch to buying you one of their daytime puddings – they are very nice”
    “Daytime puddings sounds good to me “

    “Their cocktails are famous “
    “Oh boy “Tina said “How famous?”
    “Very “

    “I hope they do beer “
    “Oh they have beer – you should try their beer “

    “This has all the hallmarks of some afternoon “Bette said chewing the cookie

    “We are not getting too drunk are we?” Tina said to Bette

    “Why the hell not? “ Bette demanded “It would be rude to refuse Emma’s hospitality. I am just doing it for you honey “

    “We are meeting your friends tomorrow”

    “So – they have seen me with a hangover more than once” Bette winked at Matt

    “I want them to like me “

    “They will not dislike you just because you are hung-over”
    “Tell me Bette – have you ever dated any of these women?” Matthew asked grinning

    “Dad! “

    “I was just concerned that Tina might have to stress her ownership of a very desirable piece of property “
    Bette snorted “I won’t take offence at that one “

      Now comes the big encounter. I bet it will be very good (in Ally Style) :-) I hope they manage to bury the past.
      Tina has been a little jealous? -I hope she knows that Bette madly in love with her.

    5. There has to be drama if the story is written by allyemmerson. I just hope that Emma and Bette bury the hatchet and……not into each other’s skull! Thank you for updating so frequently. That drives up the enthusiasm for each chapter. Maybe, Bette’s friend will be flirtatious with Bette in front of Tina. Bette likes to flirt/joke as well especially w/her friends. Familiarity and all that.

    7. Two in a row, wow. What a bonus for the midweek! I think Emma and Bette are going to bond over beer and dessert especially after Bette found the letter. I think Tina will be jealous over the friends so she and Bette will have hot make up sex. Thanks for posting.

    8. Two posts in a row, what a midweek surprise! I know that Bette will make nice with Emma for Tina’s sake. Fish, beer and dessert will make due. I hope Emma will want to show her gratitude for the envelope Bette found and make peace with the girls. Tina has no need to be insecure about Bette. She has her wrapped tight but some jealous make up sex would be great. Thanks Ally!
