David and Gina were ecstatic to spend Christmas in Europe with the entire family. They decided that afterwards they would fly back to Los Angeles and spend New Year’s Eve before going home to Boston.
They made their own flight arrangements while Bette took care of Kit and Angie’s. Bette also made the reservations for their travel to Greece and accommodations in Athens. David and Gina’s flight from Boston arrived into Paris in the early morning. They took a car service to the hotel. They met Bette and Tina for breakfast after which they spent the morning sightseeing. This would be their only opportunity to see Paris since they were leaving for Athens, Greece the next morning.
Kit and Angie’s flight from Los Angeles arrived at around 11:30am that same day. Bette and Tina had arranged to meet up with David and Gina at around 1:30pm for lunch. Kit and David had talked on the phone several times in the past few days so they were not total strangers when they finally met.
Needless to say it was a very emotional tear filled reunion as mother and son saw each other again for the first time since he was a toddler.
After lunch David and Kit went off on their own to talk. Bette, Tina, Gina and Angie entertained themselves with shopping. Part of Tina’s birthday present to Bette was a shopping spree. She knew that Bette would need to update her wardrobe with clothing more suited to a gallery owner than the Dean at a college.
They visited several French designer boutiques and everyone including Angie enjoyed dressing Bette for success. Bette and Tina had already purchased winter clothes for Angie to wear during their holiday stay in Europe. Angie had never experienced a wintery Christmas so they were very excited to show her.
They all met up again for dinner. Kit, David and Gina connected instantly and they stayed up talking late into the night. Bette, Tina and Angie made it an early evening. They wanted Angie to be rested especially after the long flight from Los Angeles and the long day they’d had.
They spent the next three days in Athens. The Christmas celebration was as magnificent as it had been described. They stayed in a villa with ample bedrooms for the entire family. David and Gina had their romantic getaways as did Bette and Tina but mostly they spent time together as a family. Angie loved getting to know her older cousins David and Gina and of course she charmed them to no end.

It has so many wonderful and emotional parts, like Lady sovjet already said, it brought tears in my eyes.
