Something so right – chapter 105

“I appreciate that but right now I need her daughter to myself – and yes – I know that sounds selfish – when it comes to Bette‘s affections I am “

“I am sure Bette has enough love for both of you “

Tina smiled – Finn was talking sense

“How do you feel about him – about dad ?”

“I am less pissed than you that he’s found someone else but I think the baby is crazy. What makes me angry and why I swung for him was that he tried all sorts of emotional blackmail shit when I first moved to LA to get me to go back home. How the farm needed me and that it was my inheritance and he needed me there “

    Tina frowned “I didn’t know “

“It was my problem but I admit that it hurt me. It was how Shane and me became friends. I had spoken to dad and he’d come out with all sorts of stuff about how the farm was getting hard work for someone with his bad back “

“Has he got a bad back ?”

“Twinges – nothing serious – anyway – he’d thrown all this crap at me and I was upset – I ended up telling Shane everything one afternoon over about 10 games of pool. She was solid. She pointed out that I was a grown man “

    “Debatable “ Tina said grinning

“That I was a grown man and that I had to make my own way in the world and that I was right to move to LA and that you and Bette wouldn’t let anything bad happen to me. I swear Tina I was on the verge of going back – he guilted me out “

“Selfish sod “ Tina said cross again with her father.

“So when he abandoned the farm to shack up with Ms Fancy Lawyer I just felt he had been a total freaking hypocrite. No provisions for help – just pack a bag and go – that’s being selfish. Mom deserved at least to know what he was playing at “

“Its ironic that all of a sudden we are all on mom’s side “

“I said to Will and she said she was more not on dad’s side as opposed to being on mom’s”

    1. I hope that these two will continue to be there for each other as they go through this difficult time for both of them. Families can sure cause a bit of stress in life! :) PPS

    2. These two are so good for each other. I’m sure Tina will get a chance to reconcile with her father. Finn is right…they all need to take some time and cool down for a bit.
