“Your ex boyfriend David “ Jacky said – Tina nodded in surprise.
“If you ask me I would say that was the start of your father finally having had enough. He knew about David – what he didn’t want was David to be around when you were there. He told your mother to give him the time off just so when you showed up you didn’t have to see him. I don’t know why but she didn’t -so you saw him and you reacted in the way that he knew you would. He came here after the two of you had gone back to LA – he was heartbroken. He hated seeing you so upset and he hated that Bette witnessed everything. He was terrified that you would never come home to the farm again because Bette had been so appalled by how she’d seen you all act. He was crying Tina – crying because he thought he would never see his daughter as much as he wanted to”
Tina rubbed her eyes – Bette could see that she was close to tears. She took Tina’s hand.
“She got drunk and picked a fight “Bette explained “ Things were only going to get worse so we came home “
“I don’t blame you Bette. I know what she is like. I have had some disagreements with her when she’s feeling sorry for herself. The point is that your dad was appalled by it and worried that he wouldn’t have the two of us coming for holidays and regarding the farm as your second home. He was angry and hurt and he said that he was thinking about his life and not liking what he saw. He’s prone to introspection – its taken him a long time but this seems to be him taking action “
“What Finn and Tina are worried about is obviously their mom and also the farm “ Bette spoke knowing that Tina was upset
“Your father knows how well the farm is doing – – she can afford to pay people a decent wage “
“But what about dad “ Tina persisted “He loves that farm “
“He’s fallen out of love with more than the farm “
Tina dropped her head – Bette rested her hand on Tina’s back and stroked it encouragingly.

FINALLY I’VE READ THIS!..YOU KNOW HOW LONG HAVE I BEGGING YOU TO POST ANOTHER CHAPTER IN THE OTHER SITE?… [I’m still begging in there you know] God! hope they find Tina’s dad so they can move on, ESPECIALLY TINA who don’t want to do anything about her mom..If not for her dad’s missing, I think she will not be talking to her mom sooner then expected, she’s so vile about her…
